Summary: Well written and thrilling!
Review: The book I read was about three kids, two girls and one boy. Their names were Kurby, Nancy and Brenden. They each had a gift left by their grandma. Kurby got the gift to dance, Brenden got the gift of music, and Nancy got the gift of magic. At first Nancy did not want the gift of magic, but then she found a use for it. She had decided to use it for evil. If you want to know the rest then just pick up the book and read it.

I thought the book was okay. There were parts I did not understand, and also the author waited too long for Nancy to discover her magic. Not a lot of things could happen, but all in all it was a pretty good book.

Summary: A Gift of Magic
Review: The book, A Gift of Magic, was unique. I liked how the story was set up, how each of Elizabeth's kids had a gift. My favorite part was at the end when it said "...her name was Lois, and she was born with the gift of storytelling." I really enjoyed reading that book, it didn't take me long to finish it because it was so good, I didn't want to put it down. All of the Lois Duncan books that I've read are good, but this one is the best so far.

Summary: Exciting, amazing, and wonderful!!!
Review: The Gift Of Magic was a great book, it had alot of excitement to it. I think that Lois Duncan is a wonderful Author. She has alot of potential to her stories. I think that this book has a nice setup and I like how the grandmother gave them each gifts!!

Summary: Not memorable
Review: This book by Lois Duncan disappointed me. After reading some of her other brilliant books, such as Stranger With My Face, it was a letdown. The story is about a girl called Nancy with special psychic powers, given to her by her dying grandmother when she was a child, and what happens to her and her sister and brother. The story seemed too young and simple for me, and with her other books, I thought could be enjoyed by almost any age. I also have read them over and over again. This is an okay book, but compared to her others, it falls flat. Read it, forget about it.

Summary: Intriguing and fascinating!
Review: This book is about Nancy, Kurby and Brendon. Their grandmother left each of them a gift. Nancy has the gift of magic (ESP), Kurby has the gift of dance, and Brendon has the gift of music. It takes place in a little town in Florida. Their house is on the beach. Nancy decides to use her gift for evil, and she does. She gives her teacher Dropsy (a fake disease). She also makes Kurby fall down the stairs - or so she thinks. Does Nancy really have ESP? Or is it a figure of her imagination?

I thought that this book was great! Lois has an interesting way of writing. She could have put a little more magic towards the beginning. All in all I thought that this book The Gift of Magic was great.

Summary: Gifts
Review: This book is great because it makes you want to have ESP (extrasensory perception) too. It is a special gift the main character, Nancy has, which lets her see in to the future and past. The story is short and gets right to the point. Perfect for girls ages 9-15.

Nancy has ESP, which she got from her grandmother. Her mom and dad get divorced and her brother, Brendon and sister, Kirby move to their grandma's old house in Florida. Nancy hates leaving her father. She hates Kirby dancing all the time and not being a normal teenager. She hates that her mom is talking to other men. She knows everything that is going on and knows who is at the door or on the telephone before there is a knock or a ring. She gets in trouble from her teacher because she was thought to be cheating when it was her ESP.

What will she do next? Will she get over everything she hates or will something go terribly wrong. How will you find out these answers? Just read "A Gift of Magic."

Summary: A gift of magic
Review: This book itself is a gift of magic. Once you start reading, you can't stop. It was really exciting. The grandmother gave each of her grandchildren a special gift before she died. But, the mom didn't know it because she was too busy crying. Of course, she already knew that Kirby had a gift of dancing around 3 years after her mothers death. But Nancy with ESP and Brenden with Music was something else. I can really relate to Nancy when people look at her strange just because she is shorter then everyone else and just because she makes straight 'A's. I think her Social Studies teacher is a complete SNAKE! I reccomend this book to any reader who is curious of things around you.

Summary: the best book I ever read
Review: This book made me feel like I was there watching everything happening. I nearly cried when I finished the book because it was so great. I liked how Nancy made contact with her grandmother. I've never read a book so full of magic.

Summary: Mistical, Magical, and Magnificent!!!
Review: This book was my favorite book of Lois Dunchan so far. I can't wait to read her many others. Lois Dunchan surtanly has a gift like Nancy, only her's is the gift of making page tuning, best sellers. This book kept you interested and intreged. I think you really get into the character of Nancy. I love the cast of characters and settings. Way to go Lois!!!

Summary: The magic book, a gift of magic
Review: This book was really good. Its about a girl named Nancy who moves to a tiny town where her mom used to live as a young girl. Then her parents get divorced which causes her to think her world is falling apart. Then she finds out something that she got as a baby. It was a gift. A gift of magic... This book was wonderfully written and very suspenseful. There isnt a real problem to get past but it was a good book all the same. This is a book is worth reading.
