Rating: Summary: Magical 4th Grader.... Review: A very pronounced shoujo manga of a young girl, Sakura, who stumbles upon a magical book. Upon breaking the seal she meets Kerberos, the creature who guards it. In a flash she is given a mystical staff and is proclaimed "Cardcaptor". Her mission is to gather Clow Cards, which mysteriosly dissapeared from their rightful place. Along with her best friend, Tomoyo, she plummets into a crazy adventure. Who knows what will happen?....This is an adorable tale that will delight manga fans everywhere! Good job, CLAMP!
Rating: Summary: wow! Review: Like I said wow. Clamp has done it again. This book is like a half way piont beteewn Rayearth and X/1999.I love it. If you liked Rayearth you most likely like this book. If you have never read rayearth or X/1999 then you should read this as a type of perview of what Clamp is capable of. I so can't wait for the next book.
Rating: Summary: A Very Cute Series! Review: I had heard a lot about this manga from people on the Internet and websites. So I decided to give it a try.I am so glad I did! This series is in the same genre as Sailormoon, a comic for girls involving some kind of magical girl. Although, I enjoyed Cardcaptor Sakura more than Sailormoon. Although Sakura and her best friend Tomoyo are fourth graders, people older than that will find their adventures interesting. And there are still some high school guys in there for people who aren't sure. True to Mixx translations, there are some weird phrases, such as "thanky swanky" and the art isn't as good quality as in the original Japanese version. But if you can ignore that, there's an awesome story behind all of that. I highly recommend this title!
Rating: Summary: good engaging comic Review: When i first saw the comic i thought it looked, well, good. it seemed maybe a little childish being centered around a 4th grade girl. when i started reading it, i liked it, i mean i did, but it wasn't the best manga i've ever read. yes, i have to say that the artwork was amazing, but what can art work do if you have no plot? yes, it DID have a plot by the way, but it wasn't really my type. it didn't "go" really anywhere, but hey, let's see what the next book brings. the whole idea was very cute, but i think centered around 7-10 year old girls. basically, if you have extra money you don't know what to do with, read this manga, and see if you are a card capter.
Rating: Summary: Sakura Review: is about a girl who sets free clow cards, from a book called the Clow. Out comes kerberos,(A.k.A Kero-chan) and turns her into a cardcaptor. Sakura must now find and capture these cards before they come to life and do "evil". This was my first time reading Cardcaptor Sakura, and I love it. I give it 5 stars for it's plot and great drawing (style). It is very cute. I love it! Can't wait until the next book comes out!
Rating: Summary: Cardcaptor Sakura....hmm let me think... Review: I just bought this book. It is the cutest!I love the drawings and that certain style it has. Tomoyo, Sakura's friend, designs her clothes, which although weird, are VERY cute...and Kero is not a CAT. I was misled about this. I would give this book 10 stars if I could!
Rating: Summary: Disturbingly cute -- but you gotta love it! Review: The first thing you'll notice about Cardcaptor Sakura is theincredible "pinkness" of the cover. Yes, folks, this book isunabashedly aimed at girls. English-translation publisher Tokyopop.com (formerly Mixx) has made CCS the flagship title of its new "Chix Comix" line, although there's no reason why guys shouldn't enjoy it too. Despite being CLAMP's most cutesy, sugar-coated work ever, Cardcaptor Sakura still has a smart, engaging plot. Girl opens book, girl loses cards, girl has to get cards back. Okay, so it's not exactly "Magic Knight Rayearth" in terms of scope, but hey! We all love a good adventure story. However, it does tend to be formulaic at times, with Sakura fetching a new card every chapter or so. Then there's her silly schoolgirl crush, and the cute animal sidekick Kero, and the bratty older brother ... So why the 5 stars? Well, despite the lack of an earth-shattering plot, this cavity-inducing story is still a wonderful adventure to read. No two Sakura stories are the same -- she captures each new card using a new trick. The complexity increases after each chapter, which is what makes it fun. So, whether you're a guy or a girl, get this book and enjoy the adventures of everyone's favorite little cardcaptor, Sakura!
Rating: Summary: Return to your true form...CLOW CARDU! Review: YEAH! CLAMP has done it again with Cardu Caputa Sakura! This series SCREAMS CLAMP, from the KAWAII-NESS of Kero-Chan to Tomoyo's (lesbian) interest in Sakura to Toya and Yukito's relationship (gay)...I've never read a shoujo manga quite like this! ^_^. JUST BUY THE BOOK ALREADY! Oh yeah! Be sure to watch Card Captor Sakura on Kids WB! in July and buy the uncut subtitled DVD that will come out later! domo!
Rating: Summary: CLAMP Dose it Agian Review: This time CLAMP has done it agian. The same people who did Magic Knight Rayearth have made another comic that is just as good. Form the drawings to the story line, Card Captur Sakura, is one of the best Comics out there. MIXX did a good job translating it. Sakura is a young bubbly girl in the 4th grade. Who gose around collecting CLOW cards. If clow cards are out of the book, then they run a muck. This bok was very funny, from a school girl crush on a high schooler, right down the the antics of Kiros. If you liked Magic Knight Rayearth, then you much buy Card Captor Sakura.
