Summary: I LOVE THIS MANGA!!! by Fumiko
Review: I just got this yesterday and I've already read it twice! Sakura is awesome! I have known about this series for a while and when I heard the anime was coming to America I was thrilled! Until I watched it. DO NOT WATCH THE DUB. Read the manga, watch the sub DON'T WATCH THE DUB!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great, Buy it and you can't stop reading it!!!!!
Review: This is a GREAT manga. I think the way Chix Comix hadled this was very nice. All though I hate the cartoon (I'm sorry it is just sooooo AMERICANIZED. I hate it. Besides they put in all of these crappy puns) The manga is extremily beautiful. The art is just beautiful. The story is nice, and they even kept the original japanese names. For example, Yuki (Julian), Toya (Tory), Tomoyo (Madison), Nadeshiko (Natasha), Kerberos (Kero, still the same in the TV anime.). Just to let you know, in this comic/manga everyone has a crush on Yuki, Including Sakura, Li, and Toya/Toaya. But this is one great manga. Highly recommended.

Warning: This manga contains some Shonen-Ai hints, Li+yuki and Toya+Yuki.

I just got it and I haven't been able to put it down. What is wierd is that my manga has Sakura in a purple dress not holding an egg. Well, oh well. I have moved on to other anime such as DBZ,GW,TM,NGE, and R1/2, this is still one of my faves. I usually don't like giddy girl anime plotlines (example: Sailor Moon too some extent) This is a really awesome manga... if you don't get it.............. you are definatly missing out on something really great!!!!!

Summary: CUTE!
Review: this book was so cute! and the pictures were so beautiful... and the plot is pretty good too... the only thing that bothered me was how she always had time to run home and change into one of those frilly battle costumes her friend made for her.... but the rest was really good!

Summary: I think....
Review: I think that this manga was actually traslated very well. Most of them are the original names of the caracters. Exepet Toya and Yoki(those r there nicknames in the original). In this Sakura's school is having a feild day and it is like a family thing. So Sakura's dad and brother show up a long with Toyomo's mother. So when Toyomo's mother and Sakura's father meet they instently recogonize eachother. Toyomo and Sakura find out that their mother's are cousins (so that makes them what? 2nd cousins?). But, Sakura's mother is dead and Toyomo's mother blames it on Saura's father. She is still really mad at him for taking away her little cousin and callenges him to one of the races. But in the middle of the race flower petals start coming from nowhere. It seems like it's raing flowers! The flower petals get so thick it's hard to breath. Sakura sences a clow card! What will happen? Were are the flowers coming from? What happened to Sakura's father and Toyomo's mother? Order the book and find out!

Along with this episode there are 2 others in this book. Clamp's ideas are real original and interesting! You'll be making the wrong choice if you do not buy this! It's really bright and a whole lot brighter than most mangas! And it really brightens up your day(I like the word bright! Can you tell?)! But warning once you start the series you have to finish!

Review: not a bad translation-- but if you're a true manga fan then you're better off with the bilingual manga ^_^

Summary: The second one still goes on... strong
Review: Although I DETEST the way Mixx Americanizes ever peice of dialogue and every name, I suppose this is the only way 99.9% of the general population will be able to read it, so I won't bash it for the fact that the Translation Butchers got ahold of it. The book is a MASTERPEICE. CLAMP art and stories are always magnificent. This is just so sweet and bubble filled and bouncy... I loved it. Good comic for girls. It's one of the few young-girls' (elementary school) anime/manga stories that my friends and I have found apealing. The art will just BLOW YOU AWAY. This is emotional, fairly deep, fun, light hearted. It's good for the soul if you've been trudging around in darker, deeper series. Even if you say (like I usually do) "I don't like stories that don't have some deep underlying message packed with allegory", you'll find that this is a healthy break for your mind. It's like jumping right after the elevator stops, and you know how great that feeling is. This second volume is great. Just as good as the first. But I feel the STRONG need to mention that Mixx broke the rules of manga translating again (they do it so often) and didn't keep the original cover, which make SUCH better book covers than the images they picked. Know why? Because the original cover images were DESIGNED to be book covers and be printed small. Those are art-book images, for printing BIG. Go around online and find the character's REAL names. Mixx Americanized and misspelled everything because they're just... stupid like that.

Summary: Beautiful artwork
Review: I must say, this was a great book, the art is lovely and captivating, even though its a BOOK, you can get lost in the artwork and the story as if it were a movie! Characters are well expressed, and yes, the translation is a bit odd, but after all..this Americans tend to make things a little more "appropriate" for younger readers/viewers. If you are thinking of getting ANY book or READING ANY book this year, this is a must have. Also, i recommend that you purchase book 1 too!

Summary: CCS is cute!
Review: This is a great comic published by an awesome all girl artist group called Clamp. They have other great books, but this seems to be the most popular. It is a cute story. A little sad at the same time too. It is like real life, right? It had a bad anime debut in the US. So, there is nothing to do but read the Manga (Comics)! =) Magic Knights Reyearth, Wish, X 1999, Clamp School detectives, Card Captor Sakura, they are great reading too.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great manga, so-so translation
Review: Sakura continues her journeys as a Cardcaptor in the secondvolume. Most fourth-graders have to worry about homework, Sakura hasto worry about mischievous magical entities. There is a ton of actionand regular CCS goodness in the second volume, but the translationcould've been better. Mixx continues to use their modified names,(i.e.: "Toya" instead of "Touya," "Yuki"instead of "Yukito"), the pages still look like they werexeroxed from the original, etc. That and that the original Japanesevolumes are more than twice as cheaper. If you can overlook these tinyflaws, this is a must buy. Of course, if you already bought the firstvolume, then you probably already know that.
