Rating: Summary: Kawaii and magical...Suprise! It's clamp! Review: Of course, another clamp manga that's totally Kawaii, or cute. Card Captor Sakura is one of the absolute cutest animes or mangas around. From the flying mascots, to shy little boys and girls, this book will have you ordering the whole set, plus the anime before you know it! If you think you know it all from the dub, you're totally wrong. Yes, it does get cuter, if you can imagine that. This book has all the detail you could want in the series, being what the anime was actually based on. This is the original book,by the original creators and artists, Clamp, and it's great. Just a little info, the dub skipped to episode 9 and 12 of the japanese version for the dubbs for the first 2 episodes. If you want the real deal, order this book. You can also get the subtitled anime, but I really liked this book, all on its own. I'm a big CCS fan, so if you like innocent love stories, some magic, and tons of cute outfits, card captor sakura is for you.
Rating: Summary: Cardcaptor Rocks! Review: Cardcaptor Sakura was my very first anime show, and I thought that was great! But this manga is even better! The art by Clamp is amazing (as usual) and the story is well-planned. In this book, I enjoyed the last chapter the best. It was the most serious, but I enjoyed the light-heartedness that ran througout the book. The only problem was that they changed the names (why change Yukito to Yuki and Touya to Toya? What's the use?) and some of the story was lost in the translation. But unless you know how to read japanese or where to get the original manga and a translation for it, this manga is an absolute must!
Rating: Summary: Great, but try to get the bilingual edition Review: I love Cardcaptor Sakura, the manga and the anime. If you want the manga and can't read japanese, I suggest you get the bilingual edition though, not the Mixx version. It keeps the original cover art, and the artwork isn't flipped (so you have to read it from right to left, but that's the way it's supposed to look, ne?). But nonetheless, this translation is OK.
Rating: Summary: CUTE! Review: Oh, I loved this book! It was so adorable! The artwork is amazing! Yuki (Yukito) is SO CUTE! hee..If you love shojo manga BUY THIS BOOK! ^_~;
Rating: Summary: POOR book Review: if you get the japanese version (even the asian versions), you will want to throw this crap out, poor translation, the words are too big that cover the original pictures
Rating: Summary: Cardcaptor Sakura is very, very sweet. Review: Cardcaptor Sakura is about the life and adventures of Sakura Kinomoto, a spunky 4th grader who loves Gym and hates Math. Her life changes one day when she was looking through her father's library in the basement. She stumbles upon a mysterious book called 'The Clow', and accidentally releases the mystical Clow cards into the world. After being woken up from a long nap, Kerberos, the guardian beast of the seal, discovers that Sakura has set the Clow Cards free. He tells Sakura that they must be returned to the book, otherwise "a disaster will occur". So, Sakura now has the duty of collecting the magical Clow Cards; not-so-ordinary cards with the power of wind, time, flight, and more, powerful cards indeed. Sakura has long nights, collecting these cards, and even her dreams are filled with card captures. Such is the life of a Cardcaptor, but Sakura gets by with a little help from her best friends, Tomoyo (who loves to tape Sakura's adventures on camera) and Kero (her gluttonous little sidekick)! I loved this manga so much, I was giggling and smiling the whole time I read it.
Rating: Summary: Cherryblossom Review: My absolute favorite! I won't go and summerize the plot for you people reading this (God only knows you've had enough of that!) But I will give you a helpfull hint: If you want to see the WHOLE, UNCUT TV SERIES look up "CardCaptor Sakura" under all products at this website, and select either zshops or auctions. On these you can buy the whole thing subtitled (movies and all). I can't STRESS enough how much you need to see this if all you've seen is the dubbed version.
Rating: Summary: Used to dissapointment by now, but this was better than usua Review: Sure, they changed the cover art ((why? The japanese cover art was fine)) and gave Yukito and Touya their nicknames and the "NYPD Blue" joke got lost in the translation, it was a pretty good for Mixx/TokyoPop. This is the beggining of Clamps new genius, and I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Sweet Review: This is a great for Clamp Brand Beginners. If you have NEVER even HEARD of Clamp Brand, than this is the way to go. Now, don't think that this is about a tool, but it's about a sweet ten year old with magical powers! Lucky duck!
Rating: Summary: Cardcaptor Sakura Review: For some of you people out there who have only seen the show called "cardcaptors"(the edited versian of Cardcaptor Sakura) this is a must buy. This is a realy good way to here the real story of cardcaptor sakura and is cheeper then the movies of the animated cardcaptor sakura tv series which have subtitles. (NOTE: the animated versian of cardcaptor Sakura has one extra character named Meilin (Meiling)that the book does not)Cardcaptor sakura is about a girl who finds a book full of Magical cards in her fathers library but accidentally lets them free to do mischief. after the cards escape a cute creature named Keroberos comes out of the book and tells Sakura she has to recapture the cards. Cardcaptor Sakura is full of adventure and VERY VERY VERY cute pictures. if you like the show cardcaptors you will like Cardcaptor sakura. (NOTE: Cardcaptor Sakura is the original Japanese versian of cardcaptors so some of the characters will have diferent names and slightly different personalities. for example in cardcaptors Sakura's best friend is named Madison Taylor but in Cardcaptor Sakura Sakura's best friend is named Tomoyo Daidouji and she is realy obsessed with Sakura and has a slight crush on her(dont worry if that turns you off to the book it is only a slight hint of a crush so you should still buy it.) )
