Summary: Turning into something great.
Review: A new Lotis master turns up!!! Would you believe it? Of course you probely would, since you are reading a series done by one of the coolest comic artists alive today. Don't take he work lightly, buy this to make yourself proud.
The Lotis Master's name is Frey. He's a foreigner who claims he loves Alice, but how can that be true when he flirts with every girl he comes in contact with!? I'd say he's the funniest thing in the whole series, and Kyo is definately a close second.
Anywho, Frey turns up all of a sudden and kidnaps Alice, leaving Kyo and Nyozeka. But Kyo follows them and they wind up at Alice's house. There they go inside Alice's mom's inner heart to rid her of her Mara {darkness in her soul that a lotis master could fix if they know the right words}.
In the next chapter, a snobby girl named Oishi enters the picture and starts saying mean things to Kyo and Alice. The trio go into her inner heart to rid of a monster and the Mara. And guess who makes an appearence in this book!
I'm not telling you anymore than that so you won't buy it, but it is highly recommended.

Summary: Terrific!
Review: Alice 19th: Inner Heart, the second book in the newest manga series by Yu Watase, creator of Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres (Ceres: Celestial Legend), is one manga that you don't want to pass up!

In this volume, Frei enters and exclaims that he is in love with Alice and wants to marry her. WHAT!? Though Alice and Kyo (who discovers that he, too, is a Lotis Master) don't favor Frei all that much, they realize that they need him in order to rescue Mayura from the Mana. This second volume is much better than the first, and, thanks to Frei, much more comical and entertaining. It has classic Yu Watase artwork, and of course her well-known love triangles, as were in her two previous works FY and AnC. If you're a fan of Watase, pick up this book as soon as you can!

Summary: From the creator of Fushigi Yugi...
Review: Brought to you by Yu Watase, creator of Fushigi Yugi and Ceres: Celestial Legend, Alice 19th has some pretty big shoes to fill... Luckily, it does just that and more.

Out of all of Watase's works, Alice 19th is my absolute favorite. The art is beautiful (as always) and the plot is pretty much your classic fantasy/shojo yarn.

While browsing the manga section in a local bookstore, I came across Alice 19th volume one. I started reading just to kill time, but by the time I was finished, I was totally eager to get my grubby paws on the second volume.

All my friends read this and they totally love it! If you are a fan of Yu Watase or you like works by Rumiko Takahashi or Clamp, then I totally encourage you to try this manga!

Summary: VERY GOOD.......ITS A KEEPER!
Review: Enter Frei, another Lotis Master who has come from Northern Europe. He falls deeply in love with Alice, and wants to take her back to his country... to MARRY Alice?! As Frei carries Alice back to her house, the two are transported BACK into the Inner Heart, of Alice's mother, along with Kyo. Kyou finds that he is a Lotis master as well, and all three vow to save Mayura. Can they save her?

This volume is FAR better than the first one! Th art work is just as good, the comedy is over the top, and a few horror elements are thrown in. For some reason, VIZ decided to change Frei's name to "Frey," not that it matters, though. The price is reasonable at ten dollars, but it's only 190 pages!!! ((<[>.<]>))

This is a good read, so pick it up if you have the money!!!

Summary: This has to be the best manga ever
Review: I just don't know how Yu Watase does it. Alice 19th can make me cry, laugh, fall off my bed in shock, and make my heart feel like it will fly from my chest. You just can't describe this series. If you don't buy this manga you're just an ediot!!!!!!!

Summary: Much Better than Expected!!!
Review: I read/saw all the Ceres, it was okay, but I would like more light-hearted humor and not so much blood, gore, and sick family relationships like Ceres had.
Alice 19th everybody will enjoy! In a way this reminds me of Cardcaptor Sakura. Alice obtains the title of Lotus Master without really being interested in obtaining the power. She has this adorable bunny rabbit that transforms (like Keros)who is her "mentor". Her sister is sucked into this evil darkness which only Lotis Masters can enter and try to resolve. Back to the typical Yu Watase stories is the signs of a love triangle of guys hitting on Alice. In this second book we are introduced to this German party dude named Frei who doesn't look like he'd take anything seriously (he causes problems by telling everyone she is his fiancee), but is very experience Lotis Master and helps Alice to try to get her sister Mayura back. Alice, Kyo (Mayura's boyfriend), and Frei combine their efforts to combat the darkness which is consuming Mayura in a world of many landscapes. Of course each book ends with a cliff-hanger and racks my buying points with Amazon to get the next magna ASAP! You'll definately like this series by Yu Watase!

Summary: even better
Review: In this book, Alice meets Frey, a foreign boy who declares that he will marry her and knows way more about the Lotis Words than she does. Alice also has to deal with the ugly emotions of her mother and a classmate who liked to bully her. For those of you who like Kyo, there's also more about his past and the reasons why he acts the way he does, keeping others at a distance.

I'm really loving this series. I love the concept of the Lotis Words. This is also a great series for bishounen lovers - Kyo and Frey are just gorgeous... <g> I know, I know, enough with the fan-girl-ness, but they really are gorgeous. Frey makes me laugh, too. Sometimes he's really serious, and other times, maybe even the next panel, he's being totally goofy. He's also a bit of a lady's man and is more touchie feelie than Kyo. This is an excellent series that I would recommend to anyone who likes romantic manga with a heavy dollop of fantasy. If you've read Watase's other works and enjoyed them, you can't go wrong with this series.

Summary: Following Your Heart
Review: There are very few manga artists that can produce wonderful works of art and creativity together. Yu Watase is one of these rare artists and she is one of the best. I own many of her manga and Alice 19th is one of them.

This is a story that will capture your heart. A classic tale of a young girl who finds the courage within her to save the people she loves. I don't want to ruin the story by telling you all what happens but I will tell you that it is a must have for those of you who enjoy love triangles and stories that have magic in them. A girl who was always shy and insignificant becomes the one who can save the world from evil.

Laughter, sadness, love, determination, and friendship encircles this story and brings to life the characters to the audience. Any manga that Yu Watase produces is guaranteed a story of epic proportions.
