Rating: Summary: Interesting Plot... Review: D.N Angel is captivating, leaving you to keep reading until the end. Overall, I'd say that D.N Angel isn't bad, but it isn't the best either. It has an interesting plot, that the author could do a lot with, but she doesn't really (at least not in this volume). In this volume you meet Daisuke Niwa who, on his fourteenth birthday, finds out he has to bear the family "curse" like his fore fathers. The curse is that whenever he sees his one and only love, he changes into Dark, an art theif. It's interesting and sometimes funny, but the author keeps making him change in and then back out countless times and it gets kind of old. I haven't lost faith in this manga so I think I'll keep reading the whole series. I've heard it gets better.
Rating: Summary: What a story! Review: D.N. Angel is fantastic! It is such a great story, about a boy called Daisuke Niwa. He is in love with a girl in his class called Risa. On his 14 years old birthday something begins happining. Yukiru Sugisaki (the writer and drawer) has don such a great job with this manga. I recommend this manga for everyone, who likes story's about love, mistery and hope. I love this manga very much, and I think you will too. :)
Rating: Summary: Finally! DNAngel is here! Review: DNAngel is one of the most highly anticipated series on Tokyopop's large manga line-up, and for very good reason. This is the manga that started the hit anime series; and to be blunt (and just because double negatives amuse me), the anime series ain't got nothin' on the manga. The story revolves around Daisuke Niwa, your everyday 'normal' kid. That is, he's 'normal' until his fourteenth birthday, in which he then proceeds to turn into the legendary thief Dark, complete with a very cool persona and a nice pair of black wings to boot, everytime he looks at his crush, Risa Harada. Of course, the last thing poor little Daisuke wants to do is live the life of a thief, and the only way to stop this family 'curse' is to make Risa fall in love with him. But that's easier said than done. To top it all off, there's another twist: Daisuke's alter-ego Dark has a crush on Riku Harada...Risa's twin! And when Dark sees HIS crush, he quickly changes right back to Daisuke. O what a tangled web we weave. If the cover doesn't give it away, a look into the pages of the manga will...the art is absolutely wonderful. High-quality. Top-notch. The manga-ka has obviously paid painfully detailed attention to every single panel, and the result definitely pays off. The script is also very good, something that I've come to expect from Tokyopop now. Check out this manga. It's beautiful, it's funny, it has a great plot (which foreshadows more to come), and it's just plain addictive.
Rating: Summary: Um... well... it was a good idea? Review: Don't expect much from this one; it's really thin. I'm sort of disapointed in it. I was hopeing for more. Thin on plot, thick on action, and it pulls the "Oh no I'm gonna get caught changing into my alter ego in public" thing one too many times. Maybe they needed something for filler, cause there's not much else to this one. It's like a placeholder story, so they could have a cool title: "DNAngel" is such a cool name, they had to come up with something that they could use this cool name on. The "DNA" part is barely mentioned, and sort of pointless. It does nothing for the story. I'll only get the rest of this series if I'm very, very bored and have too much money and have already bought everything else that was more interesting. So.... probably never.
Rating: Summary: I am Disappointed Review: I am. So many people liked this series, I went to read it.But in my opinion, it's kind of boring. This series is mostly based on romance, but when you have romance playing such a big role, you must have depth and feeling, which this book is clearly lacking. It's just all action action action, with barely any time to think, and the plot isn't so interesting.
I give it a two because the title is clever and the pictures are well drawn. And it's humorous. Kind of.
Rating: Summary: Just OKAY Review: I picked up the first two manga about 2 months ago and fell in love immediately. It's a wonderfully written and illustrated series that's funny and serious and absolutely fantastic. Of course, it helps that Dark, Daisuke's other personality, is hot.
Any lover of series such as Furuba (Fruits Basket), Escaflowne, Magic Knights Rayearth, CCS, etc., would love this series.

Rating: Summary: i wish he was real..... Review: So! DN Angel is about Daisuke, an eigth grader (just turned fourteen) who can't seem to have his love requited. Feeling rejected, Daisuke returns home only to realize: 'I love her!'. Shortly after, he transforms into Phantom Thief Dark. Turns out that Dark is in his family genes- and he has to have his love returned to make Dark go away. But in the meantime, whenever Daisuke see's his crush- Risa- he transforms into Dark. The only way to turn Dark back into Daisuke is to have Dark's DNA react to love as well... to Risa's twin sister, Riku!
In my opinion, this book was great! The first volume is mostly the foundation to the story, but some important things happen. What with interfering, violent, genius, and desireable classmates, perhaps more than art will be stolen. I highly suggest reading it!
