Rating: Summary: True help to teens in need Review: This book is a great present to those teens, or even adults, who are having a hard time coping with different situations. This books helped me control my temper. A book I'd definately recommand to others, especially those pressured. A great gift for all ages. I have all of the series, and all have helped. WHen you feel unhappy, angry, or even feel like you want to commit suicide, pick up this book; this can really calm you, for you'll then know that there are a lot of ppl more troubled than you, and they still go on in life.
Rating: Summary: A TERRIFIC BOOK FOR TEENS! Review: This book is really an extension of "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" except this one deals with "the really tough stuff." As a counsellor, this will be one book on my list that will be highly recommended to teens, particularly girls. It is not that the "tough stuff" mentioned here does not happen to boys but teenaged boys, generally speaking, are often more hesitant to put their thoughts in writing the way most teenaged girls will do. Three topics are found in this book which are truly a sign of our modern times. The first is abuse, that thankfully is no longer a subject to be hidden in the closet. The second is teen depression and suicide, and the third deals with violence in schools. As a counsellor, I have seen first hand the havoc these problems can create. If you are a teen, you will realize that much of this "tough stuff" is univeral and you are not alone. It also helps if you are troubled by these issues, to discuss the topic(s) with a parent or trusted, responsible adult with whom you feel comfortable. Teens will be surprised that this is not a book which comes across as a voice of authority but, rather, one that speaks of compassionate understanding. It is highly recommended and, in my own opinion and based on feedback I have received from teens, the book is most deserving of a five-star rating.

Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Teenager's Guide to Tough Times Review: This book was written with honesty, fear, and in most cases recovering. This book is for any teenager who has been in a tough situation and felt alone. I think theres stories in here that relate to any problem a teenager could have. It's helpful to know you're not alone when you read the story of a fellow teenager. Need a book to help inspire you? Help you through a "tough time." Read this book!
Rating: Summary: One of The Best Chicken Soup Books for Teens Review: This is one of the best chicken soup books I've ever read. It has great stories about teens that have gone through tough stuff in their lives. There are some funny things in them and some not so funny. There are stories on abuse, love and friendship etc... Some of the stoies are sad, but not all. I thought some of the people that this happened to are brave for letting others read their stories.
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This was my favorite book. Everywhere I went, it went. Until one day I lost it! It is so horrible because I loved that book. It made me a better person as all the other chicken soup books do. So I still haven't found it, and am very upset. I never wanted to put it down! I would read about 4 stories every night before bed. And then another chapter during the day. I had another book I was reading at the same time but I automatically lost all interest in it when I started reading this book. I just wish I had it with me still. But hopefully I'll get it back or a new one.
Rating: Summary: It made me cry Review: When I read this book, I was going through a lot of bad stuff. I had just lost my second closest friend to Luekemia, and my mother and another friend were unaccounted for in two of the areas hit in the Sept. 11 attacks. I was very depressed and thought maybe seeing how bad other people lives were would make my problems seem silly. The book didn't do that, but it allowed me to finally cry and feel better afterwards. I was able to grieve for my best friend, and have faith that those lost would be found. So thanks, you really have the power to touch other people's lives and make them better.
