Rating: Summary: bringing this book to class helped me make a difference. Review: I thought this book was great! I really couldn't put it down. I was a sophmore in high school this past year, and I was in a athletic leadership class last fall, and we would go into class and not have much to do, we had finished everything required, and the teacher was looking for things for us to do. we had done miscellous things such as watch old althlets documentary's and, we were running out of things to do,at the time I was reading chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul,on my free time at home, and I ran across, really touching stories about sports. I can't think of it right now because I don't have the book with me right now, but it was one about being able to play a sport again after being told the boy would be paraliyzed forever. anyway- I brought the book to class with me and asked my teacher to read this particular story and see if he thought it would make a good class discussion, because I thought this boy's story was inspiring. My teacher approved the story. So the next day in class, my teacher read us the story, and our class had a disscussusion. my teacher announced that, I had recommened that we read this, and that it was my book, about 4 people in my class askd me where I bought the book, and if they could to, I happily told them, and felt that I had done good.............. this book was wonderful! don't stop making this series!thankyou for this wonderful book and the chance to pass it on to others!
Rating: Summary: It was incredibly good! Review: This book deals with many emotions that young adults have to deal with, and it deals with them truthfully. When you read these stories, your heart kind of goes out to these people while you feel a familiarity with it.It's just an incredible book that every young adult should read!
Rating: Summary: This book is one of the best books I have EVER read!!! Review: To all the teenagers out there, this book is a complete LIFE SAVER!!! I recommend this book as a 12 on a scale of 1 - 10... It was very good, whatever my mood! I COMPLETELY recommend this book to anyone & everyone!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: This was one of the best books that I have ever read Review: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a fabulous book for all teenagers. It focuses on a lot of the issues that teens all over the world are facing such as love, friendships, and family situations. Teenagers can really learn and relate to these stories. The authors, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger did a wonderful job on producing this book.
Rating: Summary: A must-read for all teens, even if you don't like to read! Review: I had read some of the other Chicken Soup books, and was elated to find this one! I got it for my 13th birthday. It begins with some more lighthearted stories, then delves deeper into serious issues, such as death, suicide, eating disorders, drugs, and alcohol. I cried while reading many of the stories, especially "Lilacs Bloom Every Spring" and "I'll Be Looking for You, Ace". I liked how each story made me think about the greater theme of understanding other people and their feelings. To other teenagers out there: read this book even if you don't usually like to read. You'll find situations you can identify with, and you'll want to share the book with your friends. I did! Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: A great book for everyone! Review: Chicken soup for the teenage soul is a great book! It lets teens who have gone through tough times know they aren't alone. It's also entertaining. You find a story you like and you can't stop reading it! Everyone should read this book!
Rating: Summary: This book is for everyone and anyone young/old short/tall! Review: The very first time I read this book I cried. I read the poem called " SOMEBODY SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT HIM"! I don't read books and this book I have read 3 times in the passed month. I recommend it to anyone and everyone I talk to with problems and other things. I read so many interesting stories in there that made me cry. I would read a story I really liked and I would have my mother read it too and we both would cry. So many stories in there I can relate my life to and I cry over everyone. I have everyone of the chicken soup books and this one is my favorite!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful, moving, inspirational, heartbreaking... Review: This was one of the best books that I have ever read. I learned about it because my friends were using Lilacs Bloom Every Spring and Eleven as Forensics pieces. I was listening to them tell the stories and I started to cry... in front of everybody, but I wasn't the only one crying. I eventually found out that the stories came from Chicken Soup for the Teenaged Soul. That weekend I went out and I bought the book. I keep it next to my bed and read some every night before I go to sleep.
Rating: Summary: It really speaks out to a person about all issues Review: Chicken Soup for The teenage Soul is easily one of the best books I have read and will ever read. It tells you all about other people's mishaps and what life must be like for them to have people that they love dying all around them. The story that spoke to me the most was the story about MIke and how he died and how his parents and friends started the yellow ribbon project. The note that he left his family was so sad and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to all parents and friends of young people that die. Watching someone die is hard and I think that this book really helps people cope with death and dying and breakups and stuff.
Rating: Summary: This book meant so much to me! Review: I was in 6th period one day when a friend started reading a story to me. The story told of the consequences of drinking and driving. This really hit home because I had a friend that was killed by a drunk driver. I hope that more teens read this book, and learn from it and NOT from experiance! Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is the best book I have ever heard of and I can't wait to read the rest of it!
