Summary: Chicekn soup isnt just for a cold!
Review: When i sat down to read chicken soup for the teenage soul i gfigured it would be something written for younger teenagers. Myself being a 19yr old college student i didnt think i would like it. Well let me tell you i was tottaly wrong. Within the first half hour of reading this book i determined it was perfect for me. I got to the point where i could not put this book down. The stories of the heart submitted by other readers touched my heart. Whether it was reading about young love or friendship wvery story related to my life in some way. Whether you are a teenager looking for a book, or a parent looking for a book for your teenager, i would highly recomend Chicken soup for the teenage soul!

Summary: the "new tetament" for teenagers
Review: Well this book is hmmm..ok. I didn't read much of it yet, becuase I only baught it today but these are my conclusions on it. The stories are inspiring and the poems are wonderful (I'm a huge poetry fan) BUT at some points it seems more like "Chicken Soup for the Christian Teenage Soul". I mean it wouldn't hurt to get some stories from people of other religions. I relate to some stories (that I read so far) but I'm not going to live by a book (not Chicken Soup and not the Bible), it's not really a "book" I mean you can't really say it's the best book you ever read, becuase it doesn't have a plot, I mean, that it's not a book with a story line (Science Fiction/Realistic Fiction/Horror/etc...) It's a pile of easy to read stories which are claimed to be real, I'm not saying they're not, but you never know..., Also another thing that bothers me is the price, 12-15 bucks, which is pretty expencive, It's as if you were telling some one "Please help me" and they were to reply "OK, but only if you pay". What about kids who don't have that much money but also need help? I also noticed that there are somethings it doesn't quite cover well enough or at all (from what I read so far) for example the use of drugs, homosexuality and sex in general (most the lovce stories consist of kissing, but don't go all the way, though I only read 3 love stories) All in all you would think I'd give it 3 stars, but somehow I'm giving it 4. While indeed it seems more like an "easy to read" christian book it still mageges to bring smiles and to get you thinking, one of things I read first (because seeing it mentioned here all the time" was "Somebody should have taught him" which is very touching and sad, and makes you think. I wouldn't say it's a Jerry Springer type of book becuase it's not (plus Springer is fake) It's more of a Ricki Lake book, and I have to say that actually some these stories are similer to Ricki, bascily it's a touching book for teenagers and I'd recomend it, the poems are the best if you ask me, the cartoons add some sence of humor and the stories are not bad either. All in all I'd recomend it, but perhaps you check it out of the library first just get the main idea of it.

Summary: WONDERFUL!
Review: I bought this book because all my friends were talking about how wonderful it was and I read one of the stories and decided to buy it myself. I was not disappointed I almost read the whole book in one day. It is the best book I have ever read and I recommend it to anyone. After I read it, it inspired me to change my life a little bit and be a better person that I wouldnt be embarrassed to be. I must say that my favorite story is "The Bible" its a very sad story but it teaches you not to take your loved one for granted and not to except to much because they love you and thats all that they owe you. READ THIS BOOK ITS GREATTTTTTTT!

Summary: Couldn't Put it down because knowing the stories were true!
Review: I got this book because one day in 7th grade, a girl started to read a poem during a nosiy classroom, everybody, includes the teacher, stopped what they were doing and glues their ears to her words! The poem was so powerful and meanful that it left us all speechless! Right when, I got home I ordered the book. Ever since I got it, it has always been there for me. Whenever I had a problem, I could just open it and fell better. The stories really made you think about what if that was you or I can't believe that is true. I would read and get done with a story and make everyone in the room read it because of how it made me feel. This book is very powerful and I think every teenager should get it!

Summary: Review from a TEEN!
Review: I just wanted to let everyone know that this book is so wonderful! I loved it and it touched me in so many ways. I have looked at different aspects of my life with new perspectives now. I liked this book so much that I bought the Teenage Soul II book. It's just as wonderful as the first. Buy this book for your sister, brother, niece, nephew or even yourself.

Summary: This book was truly inspiring
Review: It's about time someone wrote a book about the stories of other teenagers. It helped me realize that I am not alone in my feelings. Some things I read were depressing, but I've realized maybe that's not such a bad thing. I'm sick of reading books that always have happy endings, because that's not how real life is.
