Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Powerful Review: This is one of the scariest books I've ever read. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in psychology, sociology, or religion.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Ms. Sparks does an awesome job again Review: I think this was a great book. It touched me the way it must touch everyone. The book was scary, sad, and honest. I totally disagree with the people who said the book seemed fake. It made me cry knowing one person had to go through this, but there are tons of other teens with the same problem. This book may help save their lives.+
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: How many ANONYMOUS teens does Beatrice Sparks know? Review: Geez, first Alice with her LSD and now Jay with SATANIC RITUAL ABUSE. There's even a reviewer who says it really happened because he lived in that town (was his liver removed after a party by enterprising Med students as well?) Doesn't Dr. Sparks make enough money off of Go Ask Alice? Why is this book in print and a perfectly fine fraud like Mike Warnke out of print and hounded by Christians? At least Warnke gives a "happy" ending (although you might want to stop at the end of Warnke's book and not investigate his life afterwards if you want to keep that happy feeling)
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: hahahahahahaha....hahahaha. Review: yes, the above title represents my reaction after reading this book. It must be stated however that when I first heard of this book I was 13, I am now 24, I believed my english teacher when she said this book was based a real account. However my friends and I were discussing it, and one said he believed it to be true and the other said it wasn't. So I set off to the library to find this book, keeping in mind I would first need to read this book until I made a decision. After reading this book it seems more likely to be a fictionalized account of something that really happened. Did anyone notice this had the same type of ending as the 'Blair Witch Project'? The main person crying and freaking out. That and why is it under "juvenile fiction" in the library? Also so many paranormal things happened in this book, but I haven't heard of one paranormal investigator investigating this. This is almost in comparison to Amityville, however that's been proven a hoax by paranormal investigators. Also the family wanted to remain anonymous. I find this difficult to believe also. One would think that the mother and family would be the first to go and speak out about this rather that remain anonymous.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: this is a book you have to be touched by Review: This book is so true. So many young kids get trapped into a world of satanism, when in the beginning its only for fun.It was so overwhelming all the pain that this power had caused. As a christian I always new the was a satan , but never thought that he was that powerful. It's a story that so many teenagers can relate to,and can defiantly help them. It's my favorite of all Beatrice Spark's books. It really makes you think how the things you get into in your teenage years effect the rest of your life. And Jay's life was forever changed just by a few words, or a few decisions that he made so young. It make me want to think more about all the choices I make in my teenage and adult years.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a very very powerful book Review: This is NOT a novel. This is a young kids journal. I grew up in the same town that this happened, which makes it even sadder for me. The poor kid doesn't even have a gravestone. His parents had it removed because it was being desicrated by satanists, satanists who worshipped Jay for being such a troubled teen that had fallen to satanism. I had to read the book to fully understand what had happened in my community. I sat and cryed when i had finished it. I would not reccomend this book to immature readers, but i would reccomend it to EVERY reader mature enough to handle it. It would be impossible to read this book and not be moved in a very profound way. This book makes one realize that there are forces in this world which are not of this world, forces with a single purpose: To ruin life for those of us fortunate enough to live. I could have been this young man, until i read the book
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: okay book Review: I think that this was a very interesting book. It is important though, to mention how it may misguide some people. They refer to "witchcraft" as being almost synonomyis with satan worship... although this is very untrue. Good book in the way that it shows how horrible satan worship and misuse of drugs can screw up your life, bad book in the way it misrepresents witchcraft in an evil way.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Spiritually Speaking....This Is A Must Read!!! Review: The first time I stumbled across "Jay's Journal" I was a bored and rebellious teenager just as Jay himself was. That was almost 15 years ago. To this day I will never forget the story that this young man had to tell. Beatrice Sparks took this straight from the pages of a Journal written by a young man who got mixed into the "dark" side of our cold world. For those of you who have a hard time with spirituality or believing in a true higher entity, then please read this. This book is a true testament to the fact that if u can only believe in good by knowing that evil lurks, then get ready to become a believer.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very emotional,It really touched me. Review: People have many different opinion's on this book, they like it, they don't like it.The truth is that it does not matter,If you like it or not,It's a true story about a real person, and you can't past judgement on something like that.Me personally I loved this book,In my own opinion it was the best book I ever read. Some people may not agree with me,and maybe you do,but this is the most touching, the most sadest, and the most inspering book I ever read in my whole life.Parent's only want's us to know what they want us to know, but what they don't know is that teenager's can be just as strong or just as slick as a grown up.Don't get me wrong, evreryone has the right to their own opinion, but not on something like this. This is way stronger than someone's opinion, this is a human life were talking about.Thank you for taking the time to read what I had to say.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Scared Review: I read this book ten years ago, and still remember almost every detail- that's how much it affected me. I had no idea what this book was about when I picked it up. I found it in a large pile of books when I moved into a new apartment. I was 20 years old, and a Mormon missionary when I read this book. I was well informed on the occult and secure around members of the occult. I had no idea however, of the real activities of the occult. Jay began a journal as a young teenager at the urging of his ecclesiastical leader. No matter how low he sank, he remained true to his journal. I was afraid of the dark for two weeks after reading his encounter with Raoul. As a mormon missionary I was aware of the truthfulness of his dialogue with Raoul, that is why it scared me so. Now as a father of three, I purchased this book to be read by my children when they reach the age of 14. No one younger should read this book. Every teenager and parent of teenagers should.
