Rating: Summary: Very dramatic and good Review: Anne Frank wanted to write how it was while she was in the Secret Annexe. She expressed herselfd and her family very well. I would reccommend this book for any ages who would like to read an autobiography about a girl during World War 2.
Rating: Summary: In search of inspiration... Review: I first heard about Anne Frank as a student in elementary school. I did not think too much about the brief summary I'd heard from my teacher, but a few years later, I decided to find out for myself. I checked the diary out at the public library, and from the first sentence, I was hooked. Something about her honesty and unpretentiousness captivated me. I found her story to be one of courage and inspiration. For the first time in my life, I had found a book a could relate to. This diary is a classic; it is a timeless piece of work that will forever teach and of course, inspire.

She opened a new door for me, teaching me about a world that was so far, yet so close to us today. She educated her readers, she taught us about a time that would never be forgotten. Who ever reads this book, I know will be mesmerized and will learn more about their own lives at the same time. Anne Frank did indeed fullfill her mission. She touched so many lives, and a thing like that does not come often.Thank you.Anne Frank will never be forgotten. The Holocaust will never be forgotten.
Rating: Summary: An intimate self portrait of a young girl's coming of age. Review: After reading this book I feel like I have known Anne Frank and I cannot help but mourn her loss. She wrote her journal with a wisdom stunningly well beyond her 14 years, and her voyage of self discovery is something that most of us can relate to.This is not a book about the Jewish people, or the Germans, or even World War II. It is an intimate self portrait of a young girl whose optimism and courage in the face of grave danger charms and inspires everyone who reads it.
Rating: Summary: The most touching and innocent book of all time. Review: My high school teacher made us read this book. At first glance, I was apprehensive because of the cover of the book. I thought our teacher was going to make us read a girlish novel! But when I opened to the first page of the book all of my doubts vanished. The book was about the life of a jewish family hiding from the nazis, told by a sincere, talented, young woman. Her accounts of the war outside and inside her hiding place is very moving and complelling. I am so glad that my teacher made us read this book.
Rating: Summary: It is the most touching book I ever read. Review: The diary of Anne Frank has become my favorite book since the moment I finished it. Anne Frank wrote her diary like a true aouther. I feel so honored to own a copy of Her diary. Remember: Anne Frank Lives On Forever.
Rating: Summary: suprisingly wonderful! Review: I usually like to read books that have more educational content, but this opne was GREAT!! It gave me a different view of the Holocaust, one that I'd heard of, but never experienced. Through Anne Frank's eyes I could realize the torture and pain that she went through, by just living with hers and another family for a year and a half. It also made me realize that Anne Frank was lucky to have hidden so long. I feel sorry that her joys and triumphs were violently squashed when the Nazis discovered their hidden home. It was a great bbok and I felt that I could relate with Anne and her problems easily. READ THIS BOOK
Rating: Summary: "A very detialed book." Review: I am currently reading Anne Frank. It has an introdutoin by Eleanor Roosevelt. I found the introdution was very intersting. Anne Frank was the author of the book. It was translated from Dutch to English by B.M. Mooyaart-Doubleday. The setting of this book was in Germany. It is a diary about a family-Mummy, Daddy, Margot, and Anne. There, also, was the Van Daans. They were a family of three. Mrs. Van Daan, Mr. Van Daan, and peter their son. They have a new familt member to the damily of the "Secret Annxe." His name is Dussel. He is a dentist. They are all Jews hidding from the war between Hitler the leader of the Germans and the Jews. It is know to me best, and others as the Holocost or Wold War II. The plot of the book is for her and her famliy and others of who they stayed alive till the end of the war. My opinion on this book is that I liked it. I would recommend this book to anyone 11 and up. That is jusst my opinion. It is a little difficult to understand the book and what they are talking about. It's sad adout what they had to go through.
Rating: Summary: Perhaps the most important book ever written. Review: This book changed my life. At once all teenager and wise beyond her years, Anne gives us a glimpse of the horror and small joys of life in hiding during WWII. Her doubts, fears, and frustrations transcend time and circumstance. What a loss to the world when Anne Frank succumbed to illness in a concentration camp. At least we have this to remember her by. It's ironic that she dreamed of being a famous writer when she grew up. She certainly accomplished that--and more.
