Summary: Great book for teens!!!
Review: This diary is great for teens. It makes us think of things that we don't have to be perfect, or famous to succed. Believe in your self and your dreams! Anne had to go through a lot. Anne makes you think of: " Ya know, I need to feel strong, I'm great just the way I am!" She has changed my life.

Summary: An inspiration from the heart of a most loved, young Jew...
Review: Anne Frank's diary was a contribute to her writing capabilities. She was a person who could express her deepest thoughts through a pen and paper. The inspirations of her life, hope, and faith in God will forever be imprinted in my soul. Even through her hardest times, she still considered herself to be more fortunate than others. I will always remember her, and I pray that she is now united in heaven with her family and those she truly loved.

Summary: A great over view of what the holicost was really like!
Review: This book shared with me a wonderful story of what life was really like for jews during the holicost. Anne Frank has inspired me to learn to deal with the situations I am in and even in the bad times, be thankful for the many blessins God has bestowed upon me.

Summary: Anne Frank's diary is a book that has stayed with me.
Review: Ive re read this book more times than I hav ever read any other book. I used to pray for Anne Frank when I was a little girl, and today.. I still think of her. Anne's diary, is wonderful because it is real life, I could imagine myself as Anne Frank, and I know I could have been friends with a girl like her. This story is tragic, and Anne Frank is beautiful.

Summary: one my favorite books
Review: Anne's diary is one of my books. It talks about her life in hiding. She got the diary on her 13th birthday and on June 20, 1942 she named it Kitty. Anne thought no one really understood her. I do. She also said that her mother wasn't a real mother, which wasn't true. She was just having a mother and daughter fight. The definitive edition is right now one of my favorite books. She wanted to go on living after her own death and she did. Her words will live on forever.

Summary: Happiness was everything to her
Review: We live in a society where we can walk, talk and think without persecution. Anne Frank didn't have that. At the age of thirteen she had to leave her home and friends to hide in the "Secret Annexe". For two years she lived in a few small rooms with her family and another family. She had no girl friends her age to talk to, no TV to watch, no computer to play on, and couldn't even go outside! Not only that, she lived in constant fear of being discovered by the Nazis. Yet all through this time she remained cheerful, unselfish and fully deserving of a better life. As you most likely know, her life was tragically cut short when she died at Belsen at the hands of the Nazis in March of 1945, two months before Belsen was liberated. Anne Frank was light in a dark, bitter world and I think we should all try to be like her, more cheerful, unselfish and deserving of the wonderful freedom we have. And one more thing, "Go outside, to the fields, enjoy nature and the sunshine, go out and try to recapture happiness in yourself and in God. Think of all the beauty that's still left in and around you and be happy!.....Whoever is happy will make others happy too. He who has courage and faith will never perish in misery!--Anne Frank"

Summary: Moving, thought provoking
Review: This is one of the finest books I've read in my life, in fact I've just recently re-read it. This young girl's courage, insight into human nature and ability to preserve a sense of humor in the face of such oppression is remarkable. So much potential was lost when Ann died of Typhus in Belen. She had said in her diary that she wanted to go on living even after she died, and she did, she truely did!

Summary: not boring, but neither was it a classic
Review: I have swift through this book and it gave an impression of great sadness, and depression. I didn't finish the book been a better person, (like one of the reviews said) only more depressed. Although I agree the Holocaust is a great tragedy, and Anne Frank is an incredible young girl who had much insight into issues some modern day teenagers (including myself) would not digest, I agree that this diary doesn't deserve the recognition it is receiving. She is not a great writer, she is only telling events word for word, I personally preferred the movie. I am not a shallow or typical MTV/guys drooling teenager, however, I find this diary plain in a documentary sense. She doesn't creat a vivid world to the reader, probably because I have never experienced such tragedy, but still.... I don't perceive of her as a strong or inspirational person because she is in a situation that is inevitable, she has no other choice but to do what is necessary to stay alive. If I was put into her situation, I would do the same things she does because there is no alternative, so I don't see how she is inspirational, any sane person would behave as she has. That would make everyone inspirational or strong. I would like someone to explain to me how she is admirable, she observed the facts of that life, she did what is only sane.
