Summary: I could have never survived for even a week....
Review: Anne Frank was a young Jew girl just around my age 13. Anne's story is remarkable, it tells about how her and 7 other people lived in a secret annex for years. Anne Frank's only reason to hide was her religion being a Jew. Anne fell in love in the secret annex with a boy about two years older than her, his name was Peter Van Dann. Later when Anne's family is caught she is sent to Bergen Belson. Later she dies there of a serious illness.

Summary: Awed by teens moved by Anne's Diary
Review: In spite of the few smug, negative reviews of Anne's Diary, I am awed by the fact that she is touching a generation her own age, 60 years after her death. That so many teenagers of such diverse backgrounds, connect to her radiance and compassion, makes them her kindred spirits. I love Anne and I love you young people, too. You are the hope of the world the way she was.

Summary: wonderful piece of litrature
Review: One must remember that Anne went into hiding at the age of 13, and at the same was going through puberty and expierenceing these two things at the same time. Aged by her circumstances, but treated as a child, Anne turns to the diary as a single confidante. She wasn't a complainer, she was silent. These things must be understood. She wrote a book that gave a human voice to a faceless tragedy. When one reads it, one will understand that the people who died during the Holocaust, the russians, the jews, the poles, and the soliders who fought Hitler's armies, were people, with lives and familys, and not just a face to be glimpsed for an instant. BTW it hurts me every time I see/hear an adult say that this book is over romanticzed, and that Anne wasn't a good writer. If this is so true, than why is this one of the worlds most well known books?

Summary: The Diary of Anne Frank: A Guide To Life
Review: THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK is one of the best novels I've ever read. But it's not a novel; it's actually a diary of a real Jewish-German girl who died in a concentration camp during the Holocoust. The reason why some people may not like this book is because they think it is lacking diolouge or creativity for a novel. But this (I don't think) was ever meant to be a novel. This was meant to be a personal, private written-record for Anne Frank herself and herself only.

In this novel (excuse me, "diary"), you will learn all about Anne Frank: Her feelings, thoughts, hopes, dreams, and share her adventures. You will also learn what it was like for Anne and her family while hiding from the Nazi Soldiers and even what it was like for Anne to receive her first kiss and real romance from Peter, a young boy who's family was also hiding from the Nazi in the same room as Anne Frank's family.

Read this novel and you will see why something as horrible and unforgettable as the Holocoust should never happen again. Anne Frank was one of the millions who suffered death and pain during the Holocoust for no reason other than the fact that they were "different" from the rest of the Germans. It's an unforgettable classic that you will read over and over again and never get bored. In fact, if you read it over and over again, each time you do, you may find something new that you didn't catch the last time you read it. Beautiful story and a novel I truly recommend as a must have.

P.S.: I also saw the new ABC miniseries movie, ANNE FRANK, a couple days ago. That was excellent, too. It was very moving and the acting was supurb. Hopefully, ABC will put it out on video and DVD. If they do, I will definitely buy it and you should, too (if you enjoyed the book!). Both the novel and movie brought me to tears - and I can't say that to just about anything!

Summary: ONCE READ, EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FORGET!
Review: Born in 1929, Anne Frank was a Jewish girl filled with hopes, dreams and inspirations, like any young girl entering her teens. However, what makes Anne's diary different from today's generation is the time, place and incredible circumstances surrounding her short life. Anne was given a diary at the age of 13 and what she wrote among the pages will touch the reader to their very core. Anne's diary reveals life in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam, her relationship with family, the poverty and despair of wartime, and the horrors and attrocities of the Holocaust. The book is deeply moving and one you will remember long after the final page has been read.

If there is any one single literary classic which should be read in high school, this one would have to be at the top of the list. Although, it is an emotionally charged book, Anne's story gives today's youth a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the freedom, advantages, and choices they truly have in life. Anne's story makes designer jeans, an expensive prom dress, a "cool new car", spending money and other materialistic commodities very insignificant when it comes to determining what values are important in life and what is truly irrelevant.

"Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" has been a classic for many years and will likely continue to hold its place for many years to come. You will share Anne's fears, sorrows, determination and courage in a period of time so filled with horror and attrocities, most of us who have not endured war could not begin to comprehend. Anne Frank died in Bergen-Belsen, Germany in 1945 at the age of sixteen. This is an account of her life taken from the chronicles of her personal diary.

Summary: Anne Frank, Girl Genuis
Review: Anne Frank is a young girl just like a girl today. She has her problems with boys, schools, and maturing. She lives in Netherland. But she and her family are Jewish and must hide from the Nazis. They hide with another family in a secret annex in the back of a wherhouse. They must keep quiet all day and learn to cope with eachother's personality. Every young reader should Read the Diary of Anne Frank. Especially if you are young you will be able to understand how Anne is feeling. IN my mind Anne Frank is a girl genius.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: The Diary of Anne Frank was a wonderful book about a Jewish girl in hiding during the houlocaust. It was a little slow at parts but very interesting. Some people say it's boring because all she talks about are her problems. It's a real diary, though. People write about their problems in their diary....
