Summary: Sincerity at its best
Review: It lay on the shelf in my family's living room for almost two decades. It collected dust and yet it pleaded with my mind, body and soul to be read. While I watched the evening sitcoms at night, it would sit patiently and stare at the top corner of my eye. I even thought about moving Anne Frank's diary so it would be out of my view, but decided against it. I knew it had to be read. I recognised that it was a task that needed to be completed and yet, somehow, I was still fearful. I was afraid of the sorrow I would go through and the grief I would slowly and painfully incur. To be honest with you, the Holocaust scared me at my tender age. I didn't like to talk about it and I couldn't swallow the realization that man had done what he did. I wanted to put it in the back of my mind and not let it stir up the memories of the haunting past. I was young, but nevertheless, I was still self-centred. I was thinking of my thoughts and my feelings and not about Anne and her family, and the anguish that they and others like them were forced to go through.

Despite my dear love of this book and consequently my high regard for Anne's writing, I am compelled to disagree with one section of the blurb on my particular edition of this book. It states: "A girl who would never live to become a woman." Now, the person who wrote that evidently did not even pick up the book. The diary, written over a two-year period, shows Anne mature from a young girl into a young woman. Young, yes she was in the chronological sense, but in maturity she was above some of the females I know who are even older than she was. Being confined in a small space made Anne develop into a woman. The reader will unmistakably notice that through her writing and thus through her thoughts.

It's interesting to note something particularly significant in Anne's diary. Anne accomplished her dream and desire to go on "living even after [her death]". She was so confident that no one would be interested in reading her writings and yet, today, her book has sold millions of copies and is known as one of the greats of all time. There are very few people in the western world who have not heard of Anne and consequently her diary. That should serve as an inspiration to us all in regards to the situation she was forced to live in and how she still managed to complete her desires. We can all reach our dreams, and Anne shows us precisely how this can be done.

What surprises me most about Anne is her incredible sincere nature. A couple of times in her diary she mentions something only to disagree with it in the next sentence. She then kicks herself in the shins for even thinking that particular thought but decides against crossing it out. She's not afraid to express what she thinks about individuals and as a result, portrays her most honest emotions. This is something that I strive to do in my daily life.

This book deserves to be read and it ought to be necessary reading in secondary school. I am just disappointed in myself for not reading it sooner - it could have helped me on my journey of self-discovery.

Summary: Anne Frank -The Best Inspiration of our History
Review: It's 1945 and the Axis Powers are head to head in their viscous battle with the Allies. In Hamburg, Germany many Jewish families are in total fear of being found out by the Nazis that want to take down all the Jewish people. Among those families are the Franks and their gifted daughter, Anne Frank. Downstairs in the basement of her father's factory, Anne's family stays in hiding with another family .Anne's gift as an excellent writer shows as she writes in her diary about her day to day experiences in hiding with her family, from her emotional battles with her parents to her days in the annex when things get too hard. See what happened during World War 2 through the eyes of a Jewish girl .Take an adventure with Anne Frank as she tells a tale of trial and conflict.
The Diary of a Young Girl- Anne Frank is a wonderful book about a fourteen year old girl who expresses her feelings in a form of awesome writing. She is in a state where she can get all of her feelings out. In her book there are stories about her relationship with her father Otto Frank and her huge crush on a boy who she would always see. Feelings about the environment around her no one else knew she would always write about it. In this book each person that is in Anne's life during her years in hiding is described into complex detailing. She describes everyone according to her own criteria. She was never afraid to write what she wanted in her diary no matter how much it may hurt someone or how much it may make them happy. She will always describe the people in her life into their physical and personal descriptions. In the book Anne describes her parents and the parents of the other family in her own description. Her descriptions would change over time because her feelings of the people in her life would change. This book is interesting because in all the bad situations of her life Anne Frank puts all her emotion into one diary entry .Throughout the whole book some of her diary entries were 2 -4 pages long. This showed how emotional she was in her writing. These intense entries help get her anger out on a piece of paper and not out on the open.
I recommend this book to you because this is a story that every teenager in the world can relate to. There are certain issues in this book that has happened to all teenagers. Go out and buy this book to see what challenges Anne Frank had to go through with her teenage life plus her hard times in hiding.

Summary: Awesome book!
Review: This is one of the best (and saddest) books I have ever read. Anne Frank is a Jewish girl that lived in Amsterdam during the Holocaust. Her family flees their home and goes to live in the Secret Annex, which is in an old office building. Anne writes about life in the Secret Annex and the group's fear that they will be discovered and sent to a concentration camp. In the end she is discovered and dies shortly before the war ends.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves history or to girls.

Summary: Robert Faurisson on Anne Frank
Review: Anne Frank's book is a classic and an inspiration, and no revisionist such as Faurisson can change that. Anything he reports about the book of Anne Frank has about as much validity as his reports that the Nazis had no gas chambers.

Robert Faurisson of France downplays every aspect of Nazi Germanys involvement in the Holocaust, and when the facts and documentation refute his statements, he produces information that will back his stance - information that is fabricated by Faurisson.

He asserts, for example that the German Army had received orders to avoid participating in actions that civilians took against Jews. Quite simply, his statements denies any active involvement by Nazi's, including the statements that there were no gas chambers. That any action against the Jews was beyond the control or influence of the Nazi Party, and the claims of the Jews are invalid.

For making statements like these, Faurisson was dismissed from his academic post in France. Faurisson, his publishers, and supporters who have distributed or promoted his pro-Nazi materials have been tried, convicted, fined, and barred from holding any government jobs. (Le Monde, 19 September 1983).

Summary: The Life and agony of a young girl
Review: The reason why I gave this book a four star review is because it explains the real life of a young girl living through one of the most dramatic times of our history. Her name is Anne Frank one of the millions killed during the Holocaust because she was jewish.

Her family has been discriminated and was treated very poorly because of there religion. The ruler of Germany at time despised all kinds of jewish people not because of the person in general
but because they were jewish.Anne Frank wrote her thoughts and feelings while she was in hiding, fear that her family may get caught by the nazis.

If you enjoy books that explain about how someone can treat people so cruel and how real life realy is you would enjoy this book very much.

Summary: brilliant, powerfull, inspiring
Review: One of the few books I have ever read that was made more powerfull by already knowing how it ends. Anne Frank was many things-A Jew, a young girl, a person enduring a seemingly impossible living situation-but above all of that she was a great writer. Her riveting account of growing up Jewish in occupied Amsterdam made me thankfull for all I have. I redcommend this book to everyone.

Summary: The Best Book Ever!
Review: I have read Anne Frank six times and it gets better each time I read it. It's such a great story and the fact that it's the real diary of a girl makes it even more amazing. Anne was a talented girl and alot of girls could probably relate to the things Anne writes about like her first love, ever-changing crushes, and her family. I would recommend this book to anyone old enough to understand it's depth and meaning....have fun reading the best book ever!

Summary: Fantastic
Review: This tragic and horrific diary never ceases to leave the reader without hope. I marvel at how this very special young woman could have the thoughts she had, and have the spirit to write them down. This is a must read.

Summary: anne frank
Review: when my teacher first brought up this project i thought oh another (sarcastacly)book. but this girl was just like everyone else in our class and she had so much wisdom. Very far from what her wisdom should be at 14. This book made me try to be more friendly and try to understand other people's point of views.
