Summary: Mr. Stewart's Wonderful StoryTelling Makes This Story Magic
Review: With all the renditions of The Christmas Carol (both classic and butchered spin-offs) out there, it is sometimes hard to find the proverbial needle in the haystack when choosing which one to purchase.For those who love storytelling, look no further. Patrick Stewart does a one-man show of the classic story, and demonstrates his amazing talent with all the different characters he brings to life with his wonderful, rich voice. One can easily visualize each character as Mr. Stewart acts out their part, and the story is as alive and as moving as the first time I read the original classic, but in a wonderfully unique way. Somehow, though I have seen many movies, and read the books, I enjoy Mr. Stewart's rendition best of all. I think it is because it is an audio book of the classic story, and being told by such a capable and authoritive actor, it reminds me of early childhood Christmas memories, when my mother would read us to sleep from Mr. Dicken's classic. No t.v. could ever compare. And although I love to read, sometimes it is fun to just listen! Just put this CD in, turn the lights down, the Christmas tree on, and let Mr. Stewart work his magic on your imagination. It is a rare and wonderful experience. I can't have a Christmas go by without this CD! It has become a tradition in my home.
