Review: After reading this book i feel drained. This book has no plot. The entire story is baout a Shaker boy who has a pet pig and a strict upbringing. I did not want to continue reading but i did.....unfortunately. It is very boring...and i would consider it a punishment for any child who is misbehaven. If you read the quotes on the back you will find that unless you own a potbellied stove or are sipping hot cider....you will not enjoy this book. Take my advice and save yourself the pain of reading this incredibly plotless, endless, boring book.

Review: Adults and kids can share this book's values and story and talk about them together. The setting and farming may be out of the realm for some kids in the industrial world but the basic story is worth doing to help adults and kids communicate. Not a dry eye here for the last dozen or more pages.

Summary: A Day No Pigs Would Die - A Review
Review: "A Day No Pigs Would Die" is about a young boy at the age of twelve named "Robert". He lives in the town of Learning, in Vermont, on a farm. I believe this is a good book, but in my certain interests, not the best of its kind. In the beginning, Robert describes his life and how he left school for a bully who was picking on him, while later he helps a mother cow who is giving birth while chocking to death! You can say that his life is no ordinary one at all! The real interesting thing is that his father is a pig butcher/killer and that he comes home every night smelling of death. That somewhat bugs me. The confusing part is when he receives a piglet as a gift for helping birth a neighbor's cow's calf. From then on, the story is about a bond and battle between the father and son, and how a piglet can change a many thing. The author of this book is the main character in the book and I wonder if this truly occured in his childhood.

Review: In the story A Day No Pigs Would Die there is a boy named Rob Peck.In chapter 3-4 he was given a pig from mr.tanner.I thought it was a good chapter because it is my kind of book i love to read.and i give it a 5 stars.

Review: I really enjoy this book even though it is a little gory in the beginning. The author is very descriptive about his own life and I find that interesting. We are reading this in class so we don't get very far every day, but we move along. Over all I really love this book.
