Summary: Move over James Bond here comes Alex Rider
Review: Alex Rider has been living with his uncle Ian Rider ever since the death of his parents. When his uncle dies in a car wreck Alex suddenly finds out that his quiet uncle didn't work in a bank after all ' Ian Rider was a spy! Blackmailed into joining the M16, Alex is put through a crash course of SAS training before being sent off on his first mission - a mission that could very well be his last. Alex has been sent in to complete his uncles mission, except he doesn't have Ian's experience or weaponry. Can Alex survive this adventure?

This is one of the best action/adventure books that I have read in a long timeAlex is a great character and he has to deal with the bad guys AND the good guys because the good guys think he is too young to have a gun!!!! I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. This is an adventure full of danger and narrow escapes as Alex figures out who the bad guy is and how to stop him.

This is a must read book - as is the sequel Point Blanc. If you enjoyed this book you should also try Malcolm Rose. If youo want to read a book that you will not forget in a hurry then this is it.

Review: The book Stormbreaker was written by Anthony Horowitz. This book was one of the best books I've ever read! Its about a boy named Alex Rider who lived with his Uncle Ian Rider because his parents died. Alex and his Uncle used to have fun together since they were all each other had. One day Alex's Uncle died from what they said was a car crash. Alex knew this was not true when he found bullet holes in his Uncle's car. To find out what really killed Ian Rider read Stormbreaker.

Summary: Stormbreaker
Review: I read Storm Breaker by Anthony Horowitz. I would give this book four stars. I really liked it. My favorite part is when Alex Rider stepped into a trap and got dropped in a huge tank with a huge jellyfish. I would recommend this book to everyone because it got me hooked. I can't wait to read the sequel, Point Blank.

Summary: "The new James Bond"
Review: I highly recommend this book! This book of fiction is a real thriller that takes you on an exciting adventure full of twists and turns. What is most fun about this book is that the hero of the story is only fourteen years old! If you like James Bond and would like to read about a kid who does the things he does, then this book is for you!

Summary: Finally a Thriller for Children
Review: Anthony Horowitz captures the suspensful telling of Alex Rider, the fourteen year old English spy. Using well-known cliches to the storytellings of espionage, yet some of his own original additions, the adventure has become widely popular in just a short time. After the long string of realistic fiction books for children, followed by the wave of fantasy, it is refreshing to read a good thriller that grabs you out of your chair and into a darkened world of high speed chases and manipulation. The book, in my opinion, is one that may be transformed into a film anytime soon.

Summary: A "Hardy Boy" for the New Millenium
Review: This tale of espionage is especially well written and exciting. There are some "scary" sequences, but that's part of what makes this such a good story.

The young hero has to assume tremendous responsibility in a time of loss, but learns that he does have the resources to take care of himself and take risks to help others. The writing is intelligent and fast paced, with a good use of vocabulary, challenging and encouraging kids to read at a higher level. The theme of finding out what is special about yourself, and discovering the "hero" inside will appeal to kids who loved the wizard Harry Potter and the detectives Frank and Joe Hardy.
