Summary: um... hi...
Review: Hi! See i've been reading the reviews and have been thinking about reading this book. I hear many of you saying that the plot is very much like Harry Potter and even has some of the same names. Heres what I'm thinking on that matter: I think I know that Nimmo knew he (she?) was kind of taking the idea of JK even though its completely his own and it only has the slight edge plot the same. So he knows that hes doing it so he's basically saying, by putting in HP names, "Yes I got the idea from the Harry Potter series, so here it is!". Authors have done that before. So... There's one think Ive been wondering but havnt found my answer on any of the reviews. I am 14 years old and have read many books (some for grade lower than me a bunch for grades higher than me) but it says "4-6." Will I find it too simple and easily written or will it still be good for me? Like... I've tried reading Holly's books "The Spiderwick cronicles" because the plot intregied me... but unfortuneatley (spelled wrong sorry) I just found it so easily written and discription and it could've gone father and it was too short, etc. So that made me not like it... Will this book be like that? So if somebody could answer that in their next review thanx a bundle!

Summary: Screaming your head off for Charlie Bone.
Review: This book left me hanging at the edge of a cliff. I always thought I was there and yelling "Go Charlie", or "You have to go on, Olivia",and it kind of got to my head. I couldn't even get to sleep sometimes because of how much I loved it.

Summary: A Charlie Bone Fan's Review (L.L)
Review: Midnight for Charlie Bone was a great book that tells the story of Charlie's miserable life. Charlie is being forced into a school where people try to kill him. Manfred, one of the endowed children, uses his mystical powers and hypnotizes a girl called Emma Tolly, because she's endowed too. Manfred wants the girl to go to his family's school (Bloor's Academy), but she refused, and she was hypnotized. In order to free her, her father invented the inventor's case that could free Emma from her hypnotism, but to open it you need a key. Dr.Tolly dies and gives the key to Emma's aunt who gives Charlie the key. Manfred doesn't want Emma to be free so he tries to kill Charlie to get the key. One night Charlie gets lost in an old maze. But...he's not alone. Something was looking for Charlie. Will they meet? And most important, will Charlie survive?

I like reading Midnight for Charlie Bone for many reasons. One reason is because this book is full of adventures. Another reason is Charlie. He is kind, curious, and he is always doing things that he is not supposed to do (to find out more about Emma), but he never gets caught.

I think this book is like Harry Potter, but even better. Both books are about a boy with magic powers, but Midnight for Charlie Bone is not as difficult in vocabulary.

My favorite part is when Charlie fights one of Manfred's servants in his beast form. My least favorite part was when Billy Raven, another endowed child, betrays Charlie, because I never predicted that this would happen. Because of a deal Mr.Bloor, the principal of the Academy, made, Billy betrays Charlie and told all about his secrets.

I would recommend this book to Harry Potter fans, because the series is very, very similar. The genre of this book is fantasy. If you like fantasy, check it out.

Summary: Suspenseful fun!
Review: I doubt there is a review here without the words 'Harry Potter' in it, but that's because so much in this book either resembles something from the HP books, or its evil twin. This is a much darker and more suspenseful world than HP: no fun pranks with friends in the corners of a cuddly, friendly school....Charlie attends Bloor Academy, run by dark and evil people, where, if an accident threatens your life, the staff is more likely to have caused it than to investigate it. It makes for a fun and suspenseful read, and Charlie's attempts to thwart both the dark side of his family and the school is aided by a few trustworthy friends. (Though it's hard to tell exactly who is trustworthy!) Interesting characters abound. My biggest beef with the books is: it's SO obvious where Charlie's father is! WAKE UP, Charlie!

Summary: Make Way Harry Potter!
Review: Make way Harry Potter, Charlie Bone is coming through! Jenny Nimmo really captures the readers attention in this thrilling book. Charlie Bone looks at a picture and hears the voices of the people in it. He is soon whisked off to Bloors Academy, where he embarks on a journey to unlock the past of one of his fellow class mates. This is a book for Harry Potter fans. Don't be surprised if next year this book wins the Newbery Award. I give this Book five stars, and two thumbs up.

Summary: A Great Read!
Review: When I first picked up the book Midnight for Charlie Bone thought it would be exactly like the Harry Potter books. Boy, was I wrong! Even though Midnight for Charlie Bone might sound a lot like Harry Potter it really isn't. Midnight for Chalie Bone is a remarkable tale about a boy who finds out he is enowed and can hear voices in photographs. Now, Charlie must attend the Bloor's Academy for gifted children.
When Charlie first finds out about his special power he gets tied up into a mystery about a now dead inventor and his daughter whom he swapped. Charlie needs to figure out the mystery behind the girl before it's to late and survive life at Bloor's. Can he do it? You will have to read to fnd out! I would recomend this book to anybody!
