Rating: Summary: It was an entertaining novel that pulls the reader in. Review: Out of the many books I've read I think that The Callender Papers is one of the most incrdible books. However, the author uses forshadowing quite a bit which makes the ending predictable. The authors style of writing pulls the reader in with vivid descriptions of 19th century Massachusetts. It also has a number of complex characters whose pasts' are revealed through a series of family papers. Overall I think the Callender Papers was a wonderful book!
