Summary: Well-written page-turner
Review: "Died on a Rainy Sunday" is a beautifully written and scary novel. Jane Drummond, a wife and mother of two young children, takes on a temporary job as a script writer, and hires the McGregors (a husband and wife team) to help out at home. Immediately she realizes there is something very sinister about the McGregors -- and that something seems to involve her husband, Graham, as well. I did wish that Jane, as the heroine, had a bit more gumption, considering the number of chilling characters she had to deal with, but overall, this was a suspenseful and highly enjoyable read. If you are a Joan Aiken fan (as I am), definitely read this!
