Rating: Summary: Useful, but some annoying typos Review: Having never taken the ACT before, I found this book to be very useful. It introduced me to the test, told me how it worked, and gave me some good strategies for how to get through those reading sections in such a short amount of time. The practice tests were extremely helpful, and the more I took, the faster I was able to get through the test. There's also review sections for each part of the test, including a VERY extensive math review. Overall, I'd say this book is really helpful, but I do have a few problems with it. I noticed a few typos in the practice tests, that led me to choose the wrong answers. If these mistakes had been corrected, I would have easily chosen the correct answer. Also, some of the explanations for the answers to the practice exams are a little confusing and vague. If you need help getting used to the ACT and need to shorten your times, this book will really help you. Just be prepared for a few annoying typos.
Rating: Summary: Will Not Cure My Laziness Review: This book is okay, but I am struggling with keeping up with it. I have to be in a certain mood to look through this. It's not exactly a page turning novel, but you cant expect that. I recommend this book along with most all the other ACT practice books to all of you really determined people or brainiacs. If you feel like you could get into the grove to go through this almost 500 BIG pages book (and uck school is starting soon also) then good luck to you and wish me the same! i got a 23 my first time taking the ACT, and i had flipped through a princeton review book, but i hope to increase my score by at least a point this time. Have Fun!
