Summary: The practice tests in this book gave me a good workout.
Review: Principles are taught with practice afterward. There are five complete practice tests provided. There appear to be some errors in the book and the paper is the cheap stuff. This book is consumable if you work all the tests and write essays in it as I did. I took the test last weekend and I felt confident afterward, though I haven't gotten my score yet.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: for the low 700's
Review: This book is not so indepth like the Barrons where you are swamped with useless grammer. If you have an ok grasp of English and wish to go for a low 700, then this book is perfect. I read through it and recieved a 710.

Summary: Long, but worth it!
Review: This is a must for anyone preparing to take this writing test. The sample essay questions and multiple-choice practice in this book are very good. They certainly helped me when test day came! However, Kaplan uses alot of drilling to reinforce what you've learned in the book, and the book is quite thick, filled with plenty of questions to work on, so this is not the book for the crammer.
