Rating: Summary: It's a well-written young adult suspense book Review: "The Creep" is what fifteen-going-on-sixteen Brina calls the child molester who has been attacking little girls. This book has a concept that is improbable in real life, but works convincingly enough in this book: Brina looks younger than her sixteen years, so she volunteers to go undercover to help the police catch The Creep. Yes, the police accept her offer and she goes through training before the sting is put into effect. Aside from the thriller aspect of this book, there is the theme of growing up. Brina learns a lot about herself and matures significantly through the book. At the beginning, she is afraid of new experiences, trying to desperately cling to the familiar, but by the end of the book she is more independent and self-assured. This book was well-researched concerning police procedures and had excellent characterizations. The climax was a little unbelieveable, but overall this book was very satisfying. It even had a touch of romance.
