Summary: A surprisingly great novel that still holds up today!
Review: This is a great book for teens and adults. The pain of coming out as a teenager and how it impacts both Alex and his family and friends is played out very well. This novel was the basis for the after-school special "The Truth About Alex," and that is also very well made and stars Scott Baio and Peter Nelson. What a shame that both the novel and video are out of print, but both are worth seeking out!
