Rating: Summary: Lupita Manana Review: Lupita Manana is not a true story, but if you read this book, you will go through many feelings. The book is so interesting and so easy to understand, that if you start reading you will keep reading till you finally get to the ending. The story is about a boy called Salvador and his sister called Lupita. They lived poor lives in Ensenada at Mexico. Later on their father lost his life fishing, so they were sent to America to their ant's to make money and send back home. They finally got to America after they suffered all the problems they faced such as: Salvador got punch and rub, Shortage of food, sleeping at bad place etc. They started a good life, but later their relationship was not close like brothers and sisters supposed to be. They made money, and sent it back home, but life was still kind of hard because of the kind of job they were doing such as: picking vegetables all day in the field. They got separated, because Salvador moved to live with a friend called lucky. He's really cool. So Salvador's relationship with lupita was not close any more. Finally something terrible happened to one of them at the last minute. Every immigrant should read this book because it will make you feel sad. You know how you got your papers to be legal in this country. And also you got freedom, but these kids didn't. They are illegal in the United States. Also non-immigrants should read it too, to understand and know the life of immigrants. Think about it, two kids crossing the border from Mexico to United States by walking. That they don't even have any idea where to go to get to the United States. They don't have any map, guidance or even someone old to led them to the United States.
Rating: Summary: lupita manana Review: Lupita manana review I liked and enjoyed this book because it has interesting points and suspense in the book that makes you want to read more. Also it makes you wonder what will become of them and there future. The part that I really didn't like was the ending that left me not knowing what other problems she is going to face with (la migra). My favorite part of the book was when there are going to the U.S. and finding out if they were going to make it through there whole journey. The author makes this book realistic almost in a situation where an immigrant person with problems would be in. Another way it makes it realistic is the obstacles and challenges they go through to get to there aunts Consuelo's house. The age group that would be appropriate for is around 12 or 14 because of there visual understanding of what there going through. Ana Hernandez
Rating: Summary: Lupita Manana Review: This book Lupita Manana is a fantastic book when I started to read it I did Not want to stop because the story was great and also at the same time sad. My favorite Part of the book is when Lupita and Salvador finally cross the border .because after all the Hard work they have been through just trying to cross the boarder, it is nice to see good things Come their way Lupita Manana is a book that is based on things that people go through just to enter the united state and also some of the things immigrants go through in every day Basis in the United State. I like this book because it is so real, but what I don't like about his book is the ending. Most book ending tell the readers what happened to the main characters and stuff but this book dose not do that for instance. We don't know what happened to Lupita or Salvador, but in spite of that I think it is a great book. I recommend this book to any adult who is single and have no kids, but want to adopt one because after reading this book you will know what fourteen and fifteen years old kids will do just to help their and also how responsible fourteen years old are, But if it is snowing out side and you are board I also advise you to check this book out because it is a great book. I personally give it four stars and I think you will too.
