Summary: Nice story, not a good Read Aloud book.
Review: I enjoyed the story of Molly Moon, engaging premise, extremely imaginative. I felt it bogged down somewhat in the middle/towards the end, but my child loved it. I read this aloud, and therein lies my greatest complaint. While it's a good story, it is a difficult book to read aloud. The language, though descriptive, does not flow the way a good read aloud story needs to. I also felt it was a little complicated to follow in that format. While I am interested in knowing what happens in the sequel, the next Molly Moon she will read to herself.

Summary: Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism
Review: This book is about a girl named Molly who lives at Hediech House and is no ordinary orphan. She has got her hands on a book of hypnotism. She then later realizes that she has an amazing ability. She has the ability to hypnotize people. And with her dreams of becoming a Broadway superstar this will surely help her. Sure she thinks no one knows, however she is wrong. Because a suspicious stranger is watching her every move and he'll do anything to steal her hypnotic secret. This is an amazing book and a book in which surely hypnotized me in reading.
I really enjoy this because of Georgia Byng. She was the amazing author that brought the book to life. For example, she used such words of affection. "I have the ability to be a superstar," said Molly in this story. I think I enjoyed this quote because once Molly knows she can hypnotize people she uses her ability to make her dreams come true. And that's why I think I enjoyed this quote.
I also enjoyed this quote. "Great I'm toilet monitor, notorous"! I know I enjoyed this quote because in this part of the story Molly has to clean toilets with her toothbrush. This really kept me reading the book because it was funny and spun me up in giggles. As I was reading this part I also remembered that it must have been hard for her to survive without her best friend. As you can see this book is exciting and very interesting.
Well, this book had lots of twists and turns but was an extraordinary experience. But after all my favorite part in this book was in the beginning. I enjoyed this because Molly has to survive alone with out her best friend. This is also the part when Molly has toilet monitor. This made me feel a little sad because they have to clean the toilets with their toothbrush. This makes me realize how much we should appreciate our parents. This is a wonderful book and is great to get hypnotized in! So make sure you get lost in this book!

Summary: Amazing Start to A Fantastic New Series
Review: Young Molly Moon is no ordinary orphan. No, not in the least. You see, Miss Molly finds a mysterious old book on hypnotism, and soon she discovers that by using this wonderful newfound tool, she is able to make people do whatever she wants. Good or bad. But as Molly continues using her secret book of hypnotism, a stranger, a sinister stranger, becomes interested in her powers, and begins watching her every move, and he will now do anything to steal her hypnotic secret. Molly must find a way to keep her hypnotism secret just that, a secret, and escape unharmed, and undiscovered by the sinister stranger.

I will admit that I first picked up this book solely on the cover picture, and by the title, as I have always been greatly interested in hypnotism. However, what I found, was an amazing start to a fantastic new series, as MOLLY MOON'S INCREDIBLE BOOK OF HYPNOTISM is just that. Molly is an adorable character, who reminds you a bit of J.K. Rowling's HARRY POTTER character, what with the whole "orphan" thing, but that's where the similarities end. Readers of all ages, whether children or adults, who enjoy a great fantasy/adventure story, will find themselves unable to put down Georgia Byng's debut novel. With twists and turns at every corner, this book is sure to be a pleaser. I am now eagerly anticipating the sequel, MOLLY MOON STOPS THE WORLD.
