Summary: Good info, among the out-of-date and the poorly edited
Review: This book really does help students get a much better sense of how campus life actually is than do regular guidebooks or a campus tour. However, there are a few problems: 1) Much of the information is out of date by a couple years. 2) It's not clear just how many sources were used, or the diversity of those sources. 3) Sometimes, summaries and letter grades at the end of each section seem to project the editor/author's own views onto the provided quotes without providing further information or reasoning, which seems inappropriate. 4) There are many spelling and grammar errors, too many to bother counting.
But even with all of these problems, I still recommend this book, (and I imagine that others in the series are worth recommending,) because it does provide valuable student perspectives that other books do not, and does so at a low price.
