Review: All I could say when I read this book was WOW! it's incredible. It's poetry written by a teenager who had some pretty weird and tough times in high school. She's really honest abou the things she's talking about. there's everything about the life of teens in the book, like using drugs, getting into fights with your friends, and even having to serve detention. The author has a great future ahead of her as a writer. It kicks major a**!!!!!

Review: I got this as a gift, and it was nothing special. You can read bad poetry online anywhere. if you are going to buy a poetry book, buy a good one. This was tired, whiny, with immature language and overused subjects. I give it to her that shes a kid, and they are pretty good for a young teenager. Still, not something i'd buy.

Summary: Uplifting and Encouraging!!
Review: I picked this book up after reading about the author in a newspaper. Alright, I thought, so lots of teens write poetry, it apparently helps to get the angst in their system out. This girl wrote these poems when she was a teen. For being so young, the poems are well written. Also, she takes a different approach to writing about the same things most teens write about, like friends betraying you, boys, and school in general. It should be noted though that most of the poems in Flying With Broken Wings are not the usual poems a teen would write. The author deals with mostly serious topics, that can be a bit depressing, and she doesn't focus too much on what many would consider trite teen issues. You get the feeling she was being sincere and honest when these poems were written. Yeah, she does need to work a bit on her form, but for being what, like 14 when she started these poems, its good stuff. Definitely worth checking out, even if your not a teen cause overall, the author's words and experiences are inspiring.

Summary: Poetry at its Finest
Review: If are thinking of giving any teen the gift of word please consider this book! It is EXCELLENT! The book is so honest, passionate, creative, original and INSPIRING! The poetry is at its finest and it's written by someone who knows teens the best - a teen! Definately do not pass up the opportunity to give this book to a young adult that you know!

Summary: Soars through the air!
Review: Written with soul and sincerity, Flying With Broken Wings, is a refresing break from hokey dokey stuff that is marketed towards teens (though NOT written by them). The poetry in Flying With Broken Wings (written for and by a teen), isnt what some might expect from a generation weened on MTV and beauty magazines. Honest and delightful are the poems in this book which I recommend!
