Rating: Summary: A Book for Such A Time As This! Review: In reading this story, I found it to be very similar to what goes on today with parents trying to raise children and the things we go through while trying to stay on a Straight and Narrow road. The story kept my attention in that it was such a reality and led you to believe that you were actually in the story, with home cooked meals, relationships, anger, disappointments and staying strong in times of trouble with a touch of Biblical guidance. I look forward to reading Pamela's next Book!

Rating: Summary: Only one way: Straight & Narrow Review: Straight and Narrow is a fun book, that is also very honest and relevant for its intended audience. More than a few teen boys have been strongly encouraged to go to church when they would rather be playing basketball. In this brief book is captured virtually all of the issues that face many of todays fourteen year old boys. Wanting to fit in; to be accepted and be like everyone else, the loss of a father and even a big brother to street violence, the threat of being lost yourself to the pull of the streets, the innocence of a basketball game which turns into neighborhood and gang rivalry; and instant violence, friends who will go with you even though they know that they shouldn't, the struggle of a young boy to find himself, and the introduction of a better life; a better way, if only you have the courage to choose it. Then there is a mother who uses a strong hand of guidance coupled with a lot of faith in God. A great story, a compelling story, and a true one. Pam Rollins has hit the nail right on the head.
