Summary: A Great Novel For The Young And Young At Heart
Review: I had the pleasure of attending Rossford High School, where Mr. Michael Kreger teaches English. While I was never in any of his classes, friends of mine were and had nothing but extremely positive superlatives for the man. I also had the honor to see him lecture a few times about the subject of fiction in general, and was always amazed by his inventiveness, imagination, and sheer passion for life. This book relates the story of a young boy whose life is changed by a friendship with an older man, Melvin Howard. As the boy grows into a young man, Howard is always there with a sympathetic ear and, a thread common throughout the book, a great story to tell. This book is heartily recommended to the young, the used-to-be-young, the middle-aged, and the old. I echo the author's statement by wishing that this the first book in a long career of writing.
