Rating: Summary: A must-read for military personnel seeking a college degree! Review: I searched a long time to find a book about how to complete a college degree while serving in the military. My search ended two months ago when I found this book and after only a few pages I realized that I had hit the jackpot. In addition to being the only book I could find on the subject of a college education for active duty military personnel, this book is outstanding. It is packed full of useful information, advice, tips, and shortcuts. It is, beyond a doubt, the best $12 I have ever spent. If the proof is in the pudding then this book has definately proven itself. Using the information in this book I have already completed the requirements (at an accredited and proven college) for my AA Degree and I am well on my way to completing my BA Degree. This book made all of this possible in just two months. Thanks to this book I have saved both time and money. Best of all, I did it all while on active duty in the Army.
Rating: Summary: This superb book will save you time, money, and frustration. Review: Written mostly for Army personnel, this book contains valuable information pertinent to all of the military services. This book is the complete guide on how a soldier, and other military personnel, can take advantage of special programs to earn college credits for associate's and bachelor's degrees. The book contains lists of participating schools as well as information on: college credits for military experience, college credits by examination, distance learning programs (DANTES), Servicemember Opportunity Colleges (SOC), nontraditional postsecondary institutions, internet, video, and telecourses, as well as educational benefits and financial help. This guide even includes complete appendixes listing accreditation agencies and major active-duty CONUS and OCONUS education centers. This book is a must-have for all military education centers and any servicemember truly interested in furthering his or her civilian education.
