Summary: Good book
Review: Casey Smith is an excellent journalist. Now that she's in 6th grade and at a new school she knows she will write for the school newspaper. Only problem? There isn't one. How could there not be a school newspaper? She finally decides to ask if she can start one, but somebody's beaten her. Megan O' Connor. The perky pink 6th grader who cares about clothes and dances, not things that affect the world. Casey has to try and get along with Megan while investigating a big story about a paper company polluting the Sussex River. She also has to try to get people to vote for her for Editor or she will be stuck being bossed around by Megan all year.

This is an excellent book, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys journalism.

Summary: Welcome to the Real Real World
Review: If only Linda's books were around when I was a kid. These are MUST reads for any kids who do not fit into the "jock/cheerleader" mold. Wait. Perhaps they need the books most of all. The Get Real series are filled with on topic social issues, issues children deal with daily as "outcasts" or "outsiders". Want someone you love to feel good who may be going through teenage anxiety angst? This is a must read for them.

Summary: I love this book!
Review: The main charactor-a stubborn, smart-alecky reporter-Casey Brown is slightly biased, but insightful enough. The book is fast paced and all together excellent. I've read most of the series-let me tell you, the endings are usually a big twist! A real page-turner.

Summary: So Real-You gotta love it
Review: This book is the best book I have read all year. It talks about a girl named Casey, who goes to a middle school. She has been waiting forever to be in a school newspaper. But when she finds out that the school didn't have one because people were lazy, Casey was speechless. After a while she thought about starting it up again. Except when Casey got to school 4 hours early that day, Mr. Baxter, the teacher of the operation, told her that a sixth grader named Megan o'Conner started getting ready for the newspaper. They meet and work together to make their newspaper wish come true!

Summary: Awesome Read!
Review: You will NOT believe me, But Linda Ellerbee came to MY school! I met her PERSONALY! I thought the book would be stupid, but SOOOOO many people got them autographed I decided to buy a copy to get autographed. (She was REALLY nice!) I thought the book was GREAT! Okay Casey's over-obsesive intrest in journalisim was a little wierd, but the teamwork Casey showed was really cool! She gets along with everybody and is a fun character. Once you read this book I SWEAR you'll be hooked! Great for girls and boys of any age!
