Review: I'm an avid reader of mysteries and detective novels and I found Ms. Hartman's heroine to be the most refreshing and original character to come along in years. I realize it was written for a young adult audience, but even a somewhat older reader like myself can find nuances that make this novel an incredibly compelling read. Ms. Hartman never takes her readers for granted, always providing a twist that couldn't have been foreseen and grippingly leading us to the novel's conclusion. A must-read for any teenager (or anyone with a teenager!).
