Rating: Summary: A Must Have for College Freshmen Review: As a Freshman Seminar Professor, I can honestly say this is a wonderful Freshman Seminar textbook. Ms. Daniel has successfully formulated a journal for critical thinking. The positive re-inforcement quotes and the space for the students to put their own favorite thoughts and quotes are a great confidence builder for the students. The journal is very well organized and takes the students week by week through different life building skills necessary to succeed in college. Ms. Daniel covers such topics as, "Methods for Critical Thinking" and "Active Learning". Keeping an active journal throughout the semester becomes a self-analysis for the student, thereby helping them to formulate opinons to support their beliefs during their intimating freshman year. I would highly reccommed this textbook for anyone wanting to bring critical thinking into a program or classroom.
