Review: I've read this book at least 50 times and i'm still not sick of it. The Best Thing is the story of 17 year old Mel who after a miscarriage and losing all her friends due to gossip and rumours, is able to find Pug, a perfect Italian boxer, to be her boyfriend. Unknowingly, Mel falls pregnant to Pug (Dino Magnini). This story is beautifully written, through poetic description and a lot of deep thinking. It follows Mel and Pug through their relationships, through the breakup of Mel's family, to the arrival of their baby daughter Bella and the trials of being teen parents.
