Review: Librarians, teachers, and storytellers will find Cathy Spagnoli's new collection of Asian folktales to be an invaluable resource to use with children. Simple but engaging stories from twenty Asian countries are presented along with supporting information and activities including riddles, chants, rhymes, and crafts. Not only is this collection an excellent introduction to Asian folklore but also a collection that will appeal to younger children. As a children's librarian I highly recommend "A Treasury of Asian stories & Activities for Schools and Libraries as an entertaining and useful addition to any library, classroom, or home.
