My Favorite Pastime: Golf

Summary: A great gift - and wonderful training aid too!
Review: I received as a gift the My Favorite Pastime golf journal. It came at the perfect time, because while I wanted to remember all the courses I had played, I also needed something to help me improve my game.

First, I'll say that the journal is absolutely beautiful. It's leather bound, has really nice pages inside on a three-ring binder, and has a nice wraparound zipper to keep all the stuff inside nice and safe.

My first use was just to journal - keeping a diary of all my golf outings. I wrote the details of each game on the pages, and kept my scorecard inside the slot designed to hold it. After three or four games, I found that I was going back through each entry reading the specifics of my game and noticing how I played each time. This helped immensely, as I could compare my drives and my short game, how many putts I was hitting, etc. I started to see a pattern that helped me improve. The way the pages are laid out makes it easy to record lots of specific information and it easy to go back and read through it.

If you want to keep track of your games and remember each one, you should definitely get one of these for yourself. And they make great gifts too - I can't think of any golfer I know who wouldn't want one. Several of my friends have already bought one - now we journal together!
