Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Practical 'Personal Trainer' Guide to Running and Racing
Review: Race Your Way to Fitness is the most helpful and motivational resource I have ever seen for beginners like me. Jessica Nichols draws on her many personal experiences to share practical tips and honest advice on all aspects of starting and maintaining a walking/running/racing fitness program. She realistically explains the basic details of what to expect physically and emotionally, and therefore I was able to easily identify with her. This easy-to-read educational guide is dedicated to sharing the secrets of successful fitness and good health. It also offers valuable websites and other informative sources to refer to. This book is extremely motivational! Today, after 10 years of being a working mother with plenty of excuses for not exercising, I started my own personal walking/running program. My goal: better fitness and health, and yes perhaps my first race. I consider myself fortunate to have "Race Your Way to Fitness" as my personal trainer. I highly recommend it!
