Summary: How the Golf Swing Really Works
Review: Having gone through a number of golf teaching methods over the years, I ran across Mark Evershed on the Golf Channel giving his ideas on how the golf swing really works. The next day I went to the range to hit balls and was IMMEDIATELY impressed with my results by trying just one thing he mentioned. I ordered "The Golf Soultion" the next day and reduced my handicap 10 shots over the next 60 days. Mark breaks the golf swing down into six areas. All independent of but building on each other. He reviews the concept of "muscle memory" of which he says "there is no such thing". Your brain tells you what to do with your hands and your body. It was hard to understand that "in order to make the ball go straight, you have to swing the club crooked". This statement, and learning how to keep my right wrist bent through the impact area and follow through were the key's for me. The book seems to present what most golf professionals are already doing but don't realize they are doing it. Once you experience the feeling of a correct swing, the game seems to be a little easier.
