Rating: Summary: horrible - does burn well though Review: complete guide to frustration. this book is far too simplified as a display to fundamental stance and punching techniques. i would recommend "the boxers start-up".

Rating: Summary: Superb Book For Beginners Review: Mr. Acunto has written an outstanding book on many aspects of the sport of boxing for the person who wants to start participating in the sport. It provides a solid foundation for those who want to learn the sweet science and all of its fundamental intricacies. Both the pictures and the text are quite helpful.

Rating: Summary: Less than expected Review: The editorial reviews led me to believe that this book would have a wealth of information on technique and tactics, with examples of how they were applied by boxing greats. Instead, the information was very basic.
Rating: Summary: I can't believe I bought this book... Review: The information is so basic, it's a waste of time. It only gives about5 drills. Basically, if you know what a push-up, sit-up, and pull-up are, andthat you should lead with a stiff jab, you already know most of what they'll teach you. I gave it two stars, because if you have never seen or heard of boxing this may be enlightening. Otherwise, steer clear. Oh, yeah, the grammar is terrible. I caught at least 8 incomplete sentences, and there is no coherence to the discussion at all.
Rating: Summary: simply dreadful Review: This book contains almost no information. It is simply a series of photos of the author with famous boxers. I believe, but cannot be certain, that it is self-published. A total waste.
