Review: Thoughtful and funny, without the cheap shots that too often drive sports journalism columns, this book reads like a series of wry letters from a friend. Based in Orlando, Guest writes extensively but not exclusively about Florida-related sports, especially the Sunshine State's obsession with football, but not to the exclusion of the Winter Olympics, the Ryder Cup, and the Masters. You can practically see him on the golf course or the racetrack, looking past the stats for the human stories underneath. Highly recommended.
