Summary: Very good, but not his best
Review: Those expecting exciting safari tales will be mildly disappointed. There are very few of those here. However, it is a very revealing and self-deprecating semi-autobiography of John F. Burger. Mind you, there are some wild tales about the African bush in the early to mid-1900's, they just don't all occur on the game trail. The chapter devoted to his late wife is very touching. The writing style is quite readable, yet very "proper".
