Review: Another one of my favorite books, on one of my favorites topics - LeMans. The battle of Ford against the entrenched European manufacturers at LeMans in the 1960 was epic. At first Ford lost, and decided to buy Ferrari. However, after initially accepting the buyout offer, Ferrari changed it's mind at the last moment. That's when ford built the famous GT40 cars - and beat Ferrari at LeMans for 4 years straight. The result was a redoubling of efforts by the European manufacturers, and the emergence of Porsche at the event.

It's an incredible story, richly detailed here. It's also one that we'll probably never see again.
