Review: This is the "Bible" for all dedicated horseshoe pitchers to own and read. It is a running commentary of all the World tournaments from 1909 through 1980. It contains pictures of all the famous early throwers up through 1980. The pictures and statistics are unbeleivable. It covers all the tournaments in a period when competition became absolutely terrific. For instance, in 1964 when Harold Reno won the top prize, there were 13 players who averaged over 80% ringers for the entire World Championships! The great players in the modern day era included Don Titcomb, Walter Ray Williams (the professional bowler ) Carl Steinfeldt, Guy Zimmerman, Mark Seibold, Harold Reno, John Monasmith, Ted Allen, Dan Kuchcinski, Fernando Isais,Elmer Hohl, Curt Day,to name a few. Some of their achievements during the tournament years were astounding. This is a great book to own. Mr. Kline was rewarded for writing this book by being placed in the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall of Fame. It would be wonderful if someone could write such a book, continuing on where Gary Kline left off, putting in story form the results of the 1981- 1998 World Tournaments!.
