Summary: Time for a New Edition
Review: How sweet for a Red Sox fan to read this book post-October 2004. All the pain of the "almosts" and the "not quites" and the expletive deleteds has been assuaged by the recent World Series win by the Red Sox. This book is a wonderful history from 1901 onward, detailing the too close for comfort relationship between the Yankees and the Red Sox. It's time, though, for the finishing chapters--one one the agony of 2003 and the ecstacy of 2004. One is reminded, also, of just how truly amazing Babe Ruth was. Barry Bonds is amazing, but how's his pitching?
