Summary: WOW!
Review: I just got this for my birthday and now I keep it in my gym bag and read it on the way to and from karate class. This is really outstanding.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A ton of useful information
Review: I really liked how much information this book contains. The stuff on all these different martial arts from around the world was pretty interesting, but I really appreciated the stuff on fighting theory and methods to make yourself a better fighter. I already started to use a lot of these tips in my training.

Summary: not only did he STEAL other's work, he miscopied them!
Review: I sort of suspected that he stole this info from other people, but then I did some searches and found the originals, he not only stole from them, he messed up alot of the info. I don't know, perhaps he was in a rush, but to steal and then to mess up what you stole.... don't waste your money. Call the publisher and tell them this book rots

Summary: A book for novice
Review: I'd only recommend this book to novices only. This book has broad but brief coverage on various kinds of martial arts which might be entertaining to some. The training action photos seem fairly elementary; the lessons/exercises are relatively basic but sometimes interesting.

Summary: Marvelous Book!
Review: I've been reading martial arts books for many years and this is certainly one of the finest and most thoroughly researched works I've ever come across. Bravo!

Summary: HOORAY FOR ULTIMATE SPARRING
Review: I've been wrestling (teaching it) for twenty years and this is the first book that ever showed all the different styles around the world. I thought I knew pretty much everything about wrestling but I learned a lot of things I didn't know from Maberry's book. Also, there was some very informative stuff about martial arts, boxing, fencing...all sorts of stuff. And the First Aid section is the most complete I've seen in a sports book. I give this guy two thumbs up!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An encyclopedia of hands-on training
Review: This book was even better than I expected. I bought it having read and enjoyed the author's Ultimate Jujutsu, but this book is even better. It examines tons of different martial arts, including ones most people have never heard of, but it is so useful because it contains useful techniques from many martial arts, ways to keep training interesting and fun, and information to make you a better sparrer and a better fighter. And I thought the Martial Arts Student Log Book was useful, this is amazingly so!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THE BEST BOOK OF ITS KIND
Review: This is by far the best and most complete book on sparring methods I've ever seen, and I have quite a library of martial arts classics.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC
Review: What an amazing book! This is the kind of thing that needs to be in every military school and library, not to mention martial arts school, in the country. It's easy to read, packed with useful information, and has dynamic photos. Just great!
