Review: I ran across this book in my pro shop and was mindlessly thumbing through it because the message on the flap unabashedly said it was copied after the Harvey Penick books. I thought that was an odd thing to say, but then the first story in the book is by Bud Shrake, co-author of the great Penick books. I could not put this "chapbook" down. There is one great golf story after another. Stories you will memorize, some previously published, some new. There also are a lot of neat surprises.. Some of the stories are hilarious. There are two priceless pieces by Dan Jenkins, my favorite golf author. I reccommend this wonderful book to anyone who loves the game, every aspect of it. I come from a big family of golfers --- this is an elegant little book, attractively priced, and it will take care of about half of my Christmas shopping this year . A brilliant idea, just when I thought every golf book conceiveble had been written.. The title says this is "The First Chapbook for Golfers." I do hope this means there will be a seond. If there is a flaw in the first one I could not find it.
