Summary: A truly fun trip down memory lane
Review: "True Stars" is like no other baseball book I've ever read. He combines the statistal elements of Total Baseball with great stories from each year beginning with baseball's first All-Star game. The author does a nice job of tieing statistical charts with his stories and his examination of every current and future Hall of Famer is awesome. This book is a heck of alot of fun! You can spend 5 minutes or 5 hours with it, but you keep coming back for more. Its a must for baseball historians!
