Summary: "A Wonderful Travel Back To The Game's Glorious Past."
Review: Much of this book deals with players and events around the turn of the century. But Anderson does a wonderful job capturing the times, and bringing out the human beings that played the game. It shows how big baseball was in the 1800s, and how leagues and teams routinely went through major changes. Also shows some surprising facts on how a few Mainers helped make the game what it is today. The reprints of newspaper lines from way back covering the game lends beautifully to the books nostalgic feel.
