Review: You truly get to know Jesse Ventura in this book.

Duh, of course you get to know him. He wrote it!

What I am saying is that it helps to get a grasp on this complex yet simple man. Little of what you hear him say in public becomes surprising after reading this. He attacks the prose like a wrestler, boasting and pontificating. He throws out memorable slogans. And if you can filter some of that, you see a bit of his fallability, mainly in his hypocrisy. He repeatedly claims how much of his accomplishments have been through good luck. Yet it doesn't occur to him that people can have bad luck. To him, it's their own fault.

Jesse still hasn't figured out where he is on the political spectrum, but he is a thorough libertarian. And still, if he hasn't figured himself out, it's fun to join him on his ride to find out what he is.

Even though I came away from the book losing respect for him, I enjoyed the reading.
